The "New Horizons" mod for the 2003 Pirates of the Caribbean game by Akella is a continuation of the famous Build mod series. Developed as Pirates of the Caribbean Build 14, "New Horizons" continues where Build 13 left off, adding more new content than ever before.

Yes, the sails are pretty good. They also turn this way and that in reaction to changing wind direction.

Note to self: get a video of a ship heeled over in a hard turn.

They are pretty good indeed. Even though the game engine is getting old, the sail animation is still leagues ahead of some more modern games.
And we've even improved some of the textures lately ;)

Stange thing to ask that music in the background some new open sea music that comes with the build? or is it an extra music pack? (please say it comes with it)

That music is from Morgan Terror's music pack. It is easy enough to install, and we will help you if you have questions.

The background music is called "Is it the Shore or the Sea?" from Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Sea by Harry Gregson-Williams. Good music, that!

For anyone who dont know, this ship is the Black Pearl before it was sunk by Beckett and then raised by Jones.
