a mod for Pirates of the Caribbean
"Pirates of the Caribbean: New Horizons", also known as PiratesAhoy! Community Build 14, has been in development ever since the release of Build 13 in early 2007. We have come a long way since then, adding much new content and many new features, some of which were thought to be impossible to achieve even by the original game developers themselves.
The intention is to provide as full an historical Age of Sail game experience as possible, both more realistic, but also more fun. New features include more storylines, historical detail, abilities for free play, variety and more customization than ever before. Not to mention that the graphics have also been improved upon, mainly with new models and textures, but also the sea itself and anywhere else that we could manage.
Although the game is called "Pirates of the Caribbean" and a lot of movie-specific content has been added, that is not all that's been done. Better still, there is a lot to enjoy even for those people who don't much care for the movies and it is entirely possible to play the game as a fully realistic period naval simulation, rather than a movie tie-in.

We have started on a bit of a fixing, testing and balancing odyssey before the final release of Beta 2.4 and can use all the help we can get!

hello
I've spent several hours at the dew download and install this beautiful mod, but with little result.
I've already searched youtube movies to how the mod should install and where but also without result.
I hope someone about my story can make a movie in which an indication of where and how the mod should dew upload and install and in what folder.
Sincerely battlefield3
The correct order to install the mods is as follows:
1) Install the original game to a folder outside of Program Files (e.g. C:\Games)
2) Extract Build 14 Beta 2.1 Full to the same folder, and overwrite all necessary files.
3) Extract Build 14 Beta 2.3 Light to the same folder, as above.
I hope that helps. For any further problems, please see our Frequently Asked Questions: Piratesahoy.net

I'm no expert on the storylines. Please visit our support forum for this storyline: Piratesahoy.net You'll get the best help there.
is it necessary to install the previous mods (build 12, build 13.. etc) before installing Build 14?
No; all you need for the latest version is to install the original game, followed by Build 14 Beta 2.1 Full, and finally Build 14 Beta 2.3 Light.
I'm having some problems when downloading from moddb ... No mirrors available.. is this going to be fixed?
Apparently it's a problem with ModDB which is affecting certain regions, so it's out of our hands I'm afraid. We do have alternate mirrors for the mods though. See here for Build 14 Beta 2.1 Full: Pyratesahoy.com and here for Beta 2.3 Light: Dropbox.com
ok thanks!
You should install the mods to the same folder as the unmodified game, allowing the installer to overwrite any files as necessary. You will be prompted to run RunMe.bat at the end of the installation.
