This is a total conversion of Sins of a Solar Empire. five new playble races will be introduced each with differing play styles and apearances. The focus of this mod will be small and large scale fleet stratagy and empire building.

ok been awhile since our last update so a few things to add firstly idd like to welcome atis_star_tours to the team. He'll be helping with voice acting music and story writing. yes that right one of the things we are hoping to add to the game is some form of story based campaign set within the new dawn universe. the first story will be called Arrival. it will follow the story of the captain of the ss Regala. it will be set about 100 years prior to the date described so far. the story will revolve around an early terrorist organization and the battles that the captain fights them in as well as humanities first contact with an alien race, the nomads an enigmatic race whoes motives remain unknown to all and the only contact humanity has had with them even to the current date is with their roaming fleets. anyway i like the idea of adding a story like this to sins of a solar empire and it would be very unique. however making a really good mod like this requires a good team so offers remain open.

the story will feature several unique things (yes uniqueness within a unique mod golly gosh) including the mark 1, 2 and 3 longbows as well as a slew of ship that where decomishion long ago. for the story planetary gravity wells will be increased enourmously and unlike most rts campaigns you wont really be building much insted youll have a continuing fleet that stays with u each ship with its own unique abilities. a single mission in a level may see you defending 2 or 3 key worlds in a sector or investigating an asteroid belt for signs of life. some other concepts for later campaigns are the discovery of the swarm the war of seccesion and the fall of the eldar race. however we are sticking with the first one so any opinions on what youd like to see and dont worry about getting it to work i happen to know our coder is going to have a lot of free time and he will be spending it with cained to a desk till its working. well probably be going through the pre existing tutorial menu which if you arnt aware actually has a siletly linear design so that could make it easier still ill need to discuss it more with our coder well ok then hope to see your replys.

oh and there shall be cutscences which depending on time constraints and difficulty will be either animated (yay more work for me) or simple still image (dont worrythey will look nice) and once again the call goes out for voice actors we need a diverse range of male and female as well as nationalities but atis will probably be voicing the captain

Hey if i can id love to help out in some way. Ive written stories for fun in the past so i could help with storyline. Im sure i could do some voice acting as well if youd like. ive also taken 3 years of modelling classes but im afraid i dont have a program to do that with at home

hmmmm might i suggest XSI softimage pro get the mod one since its free its what ive been using and i made the models there after a few days of using it

Alright ill take a look at it. Ill try playin around with it and try to get a hang of it. Have you ever used ryno or autodesk inventor? If its anything like those than i can start pumpin out models for ya haha

nah i havent use either of those but i got a turorial for XSI that lasted 3 hourse so was churning out my current models after about 2 days
