The Network Addon Mod, or NAM, is a modification for SimCity 4 Deluxe (or SimCity 4 with the Rush Hour Expansion pack), which adds a myriad of new transport network items, ranging from ground light rail, to fractional-angle roads, to roundabouts, and much more. It also includes bugfixes to Maxis items and a highly optimized set of traffic simulator plugins, improving pathfinding accuracy and performance.
November 2012 marks two milestones in the SimCity 4 community: the 6th anniversary of the website SimCity 4 Devotion, and the 7th anniversary of the first release of one of the most enduring mods for SimCity 4.

To celebrate both the 6th anniversary of SimCity 4 Devotion, and the 7th anniversary of the first release of the RealHighway (RHW) system (which, back then, was still the Rural Highway), the NAM Team will be hosting a special showcase in the "Of Special Interest This Month" (OSITM) section of the SimCity 4 Devotion forums for the month.
The NAM Team is currently hard at work on Network Addon Mod Version 31, which will mark the return to a unified, "monolithic" package for the NAM, in which all major component plugins will be merged into the NAM Core as a single download. The RealHighway system is among the the component plugins that will be part of Version 31's core, and it is currently undergoing a massive facelift, codenamed "Project 57", which will vastly improve stability, laying the ground work for long-awaited multi-level interchange functionality.
The team is planning to pull out all the stops for this showcase, and it is expected that a few new "weapons of mass construction" may be revealed the OSITM residency.
