NEOTOKYO° is a first person shooter that aims to provide a visceral & realistic combat experience in a rich futuristic setting.
Background Story and World:
NEOTOKYO° takes place in and around a fictionalized Tokyo approximately 30 years in the future. Mankind has begun to fuse with technology. Government and corporate corruption have transformed Tokyo into a deadly dystopian nightmare. After a near-successful military coup by ranking members of Jinrai, the National Security Force (NSF) is formed - answering directly to the Prime Minister, it's mission is to investigate and eliminate all threats to Japan, both abroad and at home. The initial core of the NSF is made from an exodus from within the intelligence branch of the military. With this betrayal begins the war in the shadows between the NSF and Jinrai.
Make sure to install the Source SDK Base 2006.

We know things have been quite on our end for a good while and of course we have our reasons. Still we're incredibly grateful for the support the community has shown us. The pace fit our schedules and we're happy to share more of NT° with the rest of you!
On a side note Ed Harrison is also finishing up more music which we hope to release in the near future for all his fans! For now, go install the latest release!

awesome game! there's very few people, but usually they play at late afternoon to close. take time to memorise the various class-based controls. whether you're into anime like Ghost in the shell or not, if you have the patience to wait for games to show up, and don't ragequit, you'll find that this is a game worth sticking with.
also, the itunes soundtrack kicks ass. get it. get it now.

Apparently the new patch is done, I think we are just waiting for the installer to get made. I won't hold my breath though.

If this makes it on Steam, and I will vote for it, I will give it a try again. Hopefully you will use the exposure to fix a few things with this mod such as the higher level weapons being too hard to obtain (for non L33T players), the lack of bots, and *especially* the sitting out after you die for the rest of the round. At least add a gamemode that doesn't require that as that actually killed the mod for me years ago because it basically made this mod a CS clone for gameplay when combined with the first issue.
The flaws aside, the art direction and polish of the mod (outside gameplay) are outstanding. Also, the soundtrack for this mod is one of the best in gaming in my opinion. I may have forgotten about this mod for years (literally), but I have listened to the music for years and still do regularly :D

This looks super slick. Too bad the one server that had 2 people one it coulding validate my steam ticket id or some junk.
There's a fix to the SteamID error posted at the Neotokyo forums' help section. Also, there's a Steam group called Active Neotokyo Players that regularly posts announcements about games to get players on server at the same time. We especially play on weekends. ALSO, NT is now on Steam Greenlight, please go vote it up! That might actually revitalize the community to a great extent.
