Background Story and World:
Neotokyo takes place in and around a fictionalized Tokyo approximately 30 years in the future. Mankind has begun to fuse with technology. Government and corporate corruption have transformed Tokyo into a deadly dystopian nightmare. After a near-successful military coup by ranking members of Jinrai, the National Security Force (NSF) is formed - answering directly to the Prime Minister, it's mission is to investigate and eliminate all threats to Japan, both abroad and at home. The initial core of the NSF is made from an exodus from within the intelligence branch of the military. With this betrayal begins the war in the shadows between the NSF and Jinrai.

So after being quiet for so long, a new site has gone up with 64 pieces of brand new media from the Source version of this mod. I encourage you all to stop by and have a look, maybe stop by the forums or IRC while your at it.
The music playing on the site was made by Logic, who is contributing music to Neotokyo.

I blame Team Fortress 2 for delays. Sure, it's less than a hundred hours of play time, but you can't say that TF2 didn't make a *little* impact. XD
I just discovered this mod and I think it does look promising ! The background seems mature, the models are fine (still, the 3 basic class ...), the soundtrack looks incredibly great.
I hope it the gameplay won't turn out to be basic team deathmatch beacause it would be a great disappointment to me.
Anyway, I keep one eye on your work.

As the steam community nt dev link shows, we spend plenty of time working on the mod. As for the counterstrike source, thats actually neotokyo time because you need hl2 and css to run neotokyo, for some reason when launching neotokyo it says preparing to launch css (eventually will be fixed).
Anyways, I can assure everyone we are very much alive, with a ton of content that is ever growing larger. We have been actively playtesting for some time now and hand pick our testers from our public irc channel. I recall a number of mods keeping a low profile for the most part (natural selection being one example) and then bam they release. Expect something similar here, dont take lack of media for lack of progress, while it may prove to be the case in other mods it certainly is'nt here I assure you. We are sorry if you think it is taking too long, but we want everything to be as close to perfect as it can be in our eyes before we go public.
