NEOTOKYO° is a first person shooter that aims to provide a visceral & realistic combat experience in a rich futuristic setting.
Background Story and World:
NEOTOKYO° takes place in and around a fictionalized Tokyo approximately 30 years in the future. Mankind has begun to fuse with technology. Government and corporate corruption have transformed Tokyo into a deadly dystopian nightmare. After a near-successful military coup by ranking members of Jinrai, the National Security Force (NSF) is formed - answering directly to the Prime Minister, it's mission is to investigate and eliminate all threats to Japan, both abroad and at home. The initial core of the NSF is made from an exodus from within the intelligence branch of the military. With this betrayal begins the war in the shadows between the NSF and Jinrai.
Make sure to install the Source SDK Base 2006.

We know things have been quite on our end for a good while and of course we have our reasons. Still we're incredibly grateful for the support the community has shown us. The pace fit our schedules and we're happy to share more of NT° with the rest of you!
On a side note Ed Harrison is also finishing up more music which we hope to release in the near future for all his fans! For now, go install the latest release!

awesome game! there's very few people, but usually they play at late afternoon to close. take time to memorise the various class-based controls. whether you're into anime like Ghost in the shell or not, if you have the patience to wait for games to show up, and don't ragequit, you'll find that this is a game worth sticking with.
also, the itunes soundtrack kicks ass. get it. get it now.

I want to go, to a place called Neotokyo, it's for heroes.
I've installed the mod while steam was off, ran steam and clicked play on the mod and nothing happens. Literally, nothing comes up when I click play.
Please make sure under Library > Tools you have Source SDK Base 2006 installed. If you do not and also lack a source game you can download TF2 free which comes with 2006 as well as 2007. Restart steam again and try once more. If that fails I suggest removing Neotokyo from your steam\steamapps\sourcemods folder and re-installing. Let us know if this helps.
I already fixed that problem a long time ago, but it's nice to see you've responded.
I agree that would be cool but honestly the time involved and the fact that many of us already work 2 full time jobs + kids/family would make this an incredible undertaking and not one I think we could do as a free mod but I don't think it's an uncommon thought.
I'm really sad to know that there isn't really anyone left to get some job done for NT. I bet a dedicated team could make a NT remake based on CS:GO engine or do something awesome like that.
I would bet that the mod has the potential to be released at a price and be a huge success if it ever got remade with a new engine.
****, I'd pay 70 bucks just to get a big update on the game x_x
Or even just a skirmish mode. Simple bots would be enough to make sure this mod stays "alive" or at least improve it's lifetime.
Totally agree. No use of mod for me without it.
We apologize that you feel that way, but unfortunately we can't make everyone happy as our time is just as valuable as yours but probably a bit more limited. Still we appreciate your input.
