Nehrim: At Fate's Edge

"Nehrim - At Fate's Edge" is a finished Total Conversion for the RPG The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and at the same time one of the biggest mods for this game at all. Total Conversion means it is a self-contained game that bases upon the Oblivion game engine, but has no relation to Oblivion's lore. It is a world in which neither Tamriel nor any other TES based name exists. The continent itself on which the game is situated is called Nehrim, it is completely independent from the base game.
Nehrim was developed by the Sureai Team (www.sureai.de). We have already created two Total Conversions for Morrowind, named Arktwend and Myar Aranath; the first was also translated into English.
The English version of Nehrim that will include translated texts and German voice acting will be released in early September 2010.
Our aim was to create a fantasy world which is as lively and atmospheric as realisable in the limits of our possiblilities. We primarily developed Nehrim for those players who love RPGs and were disappointed by Oblivion on that score. Nehrim will be a role playing game with elements of action, no action game with elements of role playing games.

This is huge.
First, thanks to all folks who voted us to the Top 100 list. Thanks to the translation team - although we know that the English translation is far from perfect, we'll be trying to improve it in future patches. Thanks to all who contributed to this mod!
The SureAI team will do its best to earn the success even in the future:
- The major update 1.1.0 will be released soon, including new bounty quests and arena fights as well as an additional Zeroblion quest.
An addon is under development. It will continue Nehrim's story line from the moment the original game's main quest ended.
In other words: Stay tuned and expect much!

this mod runs worse on my rig then skyrim dose.lol but its so epic..cant wait for the dlc..i hope it comes soon.
Is there any other patch planned? For example adding the tier 2 weapon and armor for the anvil maybe?
There's also the aptly named Project 5 Being developed.
It's a effectively a sequel to Nehrim which is (will) be made on Skyrim.
Don't expect to see this for a few years however.
Yes, in fact there is a whole new DLC planned. Still in the works. No release date has been given.
Best mod, best story line, best adventure I have ever seen in a mod. I have played many. This would make the best game alone! I just played this for the third time and it is still as adventurous!

In all seriousness, this is easily worth 60 bucks a copy from what it looks like. Too bad my PC can't handle Oblivion or I would have gotten it for PC instead of my roommate's PS3...

Not old, as of now, 5 years. Anyway, my friend installed his copy of Oblivion on my PC and it works fine now, so I'ma give this damn mod a try this time around >:D
