Naruto: Naiteki Kensei is a free total-conversion of Half-Life 1 that offers a new and unique fast-paced gaming experience based on the hit Japanese anime Naruto. Combining aspects of a third-person shooter and an action-based fighter, players will be able to go head-to-head against others online casting clever and powerful jutsus, performing evasive, acrobatic, and free-form movement and melee, and utilizing an array of weapons with multiple functions easily and evenly. Players are able to transverse through full 3D environments, utilizing various ways of movment such as walking on water or dashing around the streets of a village.

Last week we showed a little video on how weapons work, now here is a look at how they can be best used with Advanced Weapon Tactics!

NNK is very unique with all the tools and weapons at your disposal. Each day of play leads to new and exciting methods of surprising your opponents! We've included a varied array of weapons to attack, confuse, or corner your foes. The last update gave you a small glimpse of how each weapon works. This weeks update is a better look at their uses in battle.
The strategies shown in the video are popular strategies, but don't be fooled by the video. Timing and accuracy of each technique takes a lot of practice to master and won't be used by just anyone. Remember! It is up to your ninja cunning to figure out new and unique ways to use these tools to get the best of your opponent!

This is going to be soooo great. I hope for a soon release!
i think shurikens and kunai's should be somewhat slowed down giving a player the chance to dodge or block them rather than a instant shot like a bullet.
making it so people that prefer to snipe with there weapons have to have some kind of skill.
You know what, when we release, if you can hit me with a single shuriken/kunai, we'll slow it down as much as you want.
After that comment you gonna have a lot of shurikens thrown at you......

But seriously, are you people THAT intimidated by the game's speed?

i am sure that's going to be a majority of the game play any way regardless of whatever i said here which will be forgotten before even the next up date.

A kunai can block a katon no jutsu? Give me a break..
A) It's not easy (you have to hit the center).
B) Sasuke is the only character with 2 (fast) ranged attacks, it needs to be balanced somehow.
C) You only have a limited amount of kunai/shurikens (unless you beat some more out of someone of course ;))

A lot of other people suggested that the movement system is way too fast.
I say you wait until you try it out before judging the speed. Because honestly, the speed is what's going to keep your blood pumping at all times. ;]
Yet another update full of ninja goodness. Man this is looking so pro and amazing. I'm enjoying tracking your progress. Overall awesome vid, the effects, movement, techniques, etc. By the way your animated logo at the start was cool.
