Mudkip is a new, actively developed MOD based on HL2MP, which aims to be comical, yet structured. Currently the main focus is on weapon modification and creating maps which direct players to not just aim to shoot each other for frags, but to enjoy themselves using the theme of the game. The game mode programming is currently on pause until the new Source SDK is released, however there are a variety of maps available.
Mudkip currently has an official server which runs the latest beta. If you get a "map differs from server" error, use the beta 3 full installer below. The official server is graciously provided by PizzaDrill.

It's official. Mudkip is now in beta. Gone is the old ways of complicated SVN setup, here to stay is the grand installer/patcher system.
Already in the works for beta 2 are a few new sounds from Suomynona, such as multiple insults for the crossbow. Flavin's prized map, mud_derkaderka, is planned to feature a tramway around the map in time for the next beta.
PizzaDrill, who offered to host a dedicated Mudkip server, which was followed by network problems, should have them solved some time next week. With the server browser fixed in time for beta 1, we hope this will encourage players to come and play together for a bit, rather than relying on someone to start their own server each time with this small of a player userbase.
If you have an idea for the game, a map improvement, some sounds you think would make a good addition, or wish to help out in some other way, we'd love to hear it.

I just have no idea what the heck this mod is about. I dont understand it at all :S ive never played it because i dont know what it is can anybody explain it to me please, the explination at the top is a bit vauge. Is it like garrys mod or something??
Not sure if you've figured it out yet, but check the youtube videos. It's basically a funny mod replacing the sounds with funnier ones.
