Mount and Musket Battalion is a multi-player total conversion that tries to accurately represent the time period around the end of the Napoleonic Wars (1812-1815). It has historical factions with accurate units and equipment, including different types of infantry, cavalry and even usable artillery.
I gotta say, compared to other warband mods, I'm not sure why this one is considered the greatest. There's better looking ones, more ambitious ones, and just plain funner ones.
I just get bored of this mod. Ya there's lots of factions and units, but apart from hats there's really no difference between most of them. There's not too many weapons, pretty much all the guns are the same, and you don't earn gold to buy anything so it gets old fast.
I think this mod is too focused on being realistic and it restricts the fun of it. Just small things like not being able to shoot a cannon unless you spawned as an artillery man, ultra long reload times, and so on.
I still give it a 7 though because the attention to detail is excellent, just not all that fun.
