Report RSS [NEWS] Roadmap 2014

Hi guys. I wanted to reveal some information about what I have planned for Rebirth during the latter half of 2014. Be aware that this list doesn't include everything that I have in mind, so expect a lot more in-between.

Moddb Community Award! Thanks and Merry X-mas!

July/August (Version 2.8)
For this patch I plan to focus on balancing and fixing bugs, both vanilla and ones introduced by Rebirth. 2.8 will also introduce 2 new armored ashlander robes (These will be worn only by the high ranking members of the various ashlander tribes), 2 new gems and 2 new throwing stars. Players should also notice a large number of landscape improvements in the Bitter Coast and in the West Gash.

September
In September I will focus on overhauling shops and NPC inventories. I feel that many of Vvardenfells merchants doesn't offer enough objects of interest, and the objects are not varied enough to warrant a visit. Some merchants will also recieve more/less gold depending on what type of objects they sell.

Additionally I want to alter the appearance of Imperial Guards/Archers depending on rank. Other members of the Imperial Legions such as knights are also subject to change.

October (Version 2.9)
In October I want to return to the roots of Morrowind Rebirth - city expansions. A few years ago I started working on an expansion for the small village of Vos. I now plan to finish what I started. This means more clutter, NPC's, buildings and other stuff to make it a more interesting and lively place.

November/December
Southern Ashlands - does that ring a bell? I want to turn the ashlands near Ald'ruhn into something really special and different. I plan to use various resources to achieve this goal. More information will be revealed when the time is right.

Dose OpenMW factor in for adding features such as the ability to add engine level features? Being that it will likely be at V1.0 by October?

I'm not sure tbh. I don't do code. It is possible that the developers of OpenMW will add new tools and stuff for modders, but again.. I can't tell for sure how complex they are and if they are going to be better than what we have right now.
