I apologise to everyone who was waiting patiently for this. I tried to make a news post about it yesterday, but everytime I tried to submit it, the ModDB gave me a Database Error. Unfortunately, I am unable to publicly release TMH at this time. I spent a long time yesterday considering this, and at the last minute i decided to call it off. There are just too many unresolved issues at the moment, and releasing it would just cause problems for myself, and anyone who tried to play it. Instead, I have made it a semi-private release. I am distributing the code to various mappers who have expressed an interest in making new maps for it, so at least they can begin work.

The thing is, the coding is done, at least to a releaseable state. I was working like mad all week to get everything resolved in time. The problem is that because I was coding right down to the wire, I didnt have time to get any maps or documentation ready. I had planned on releasing 2 example maps to show off the new features, as well as a readme and mapping guide that explains what all of the new stuff does, and how to use them in maps. The maps are pretty much done, but they are sloppy and i wanted to touch them up a bit to make them easier to understand. They will be done within the next couple of days. The main reason I held off is because I didnt have time to write a Readme or the mapping guide. Without those, it would be pretty hard for someone to know what all of the new options do, and how to use the new actors. It would either turn people off of it, or I would get 100s of questions and complaints about it not working correctly. So i decided its better to wait a week or 2 for it to be completed properly, rather than release a crappy version.

The other major issue is that our forums at www.Planetmonsterhunt.com are down right now. That was where i was going to take questions and bug reports. Unfortunately, they crashed on Sunday morning. Skillz, the admin, is working hard on getting them up again as soon as possible, and with a new design to complement TMH.

The main reason I wanted to get it released so badly yesterday is because i wanted mappers to start working on new maps for it. Without new maps, its really not much more than a UTJMH clone. You can still play MHPlus, but without maps that use the objectives/cameras/etc. its hard to see the difference. So by making it semi-private, at least we can get some maps started and have something to show for it when I publicly release. I know that VatcilliZeitchef has been working on a TMH map that is nearly complete now, so hopefully that can be included with the public beta.

I apologize again to everyone who was expecting it yesterday. Like I said, i was about to just release it anyway, but i decided that it would be better to wait for a more polished product than to just force it out to meet an arbitrary deadline i set for myself. Check back within the next 2 weeks for more info and a possible release.

Again, im sorry. I guess i bit off more than i could chew. Im a little upset about it myself since it was kinda supposed to be my birthday present as well.... It will be here soon. I wont give an exact date, but i will say that it will be before the end of the year. Until then, enjoy the pretty new screenshots that Vatcilli posted.
