Gameplay Overview: All Players are in control over their ball, using the "Color Sucker" they must suck different color values (Red, Green, and Blue) out of the other Balls in order to become the brightest Ball around. During the match, every player will be desperately defending what color they have left while at the same time sucking the color out his opponents; this results in a fast-paced game of colorized chaos.
This game-mode works on all default Garrys Mod maps.
Since Mix doesn't come with a standard custom map, I thought it would be best to have a skilled map maker have the honors. So if you are interested in making a custom map for Mix, Contact me.
maps must only include default Garry's Mod content.
maps must have high boundary walls on the edges
maps only need info_player_start as spawn points.
Mix is a Competative all-against-all game mod with a simple goal: Sucking Color!
Well, the idea itself is pretty decent, IMO. But how about making it all about coloring the *map* instead? Make it color everything around it 'n then be all about having the most colored area on the map? This way you get a more balanced gamemode, plus, I'd say, a lot more fun!
This is my first full fledged attempt at lua. Although I originally had planned a custom map and power-ups, I kept the gamemode to a very simple form due to time limitations. I hope it shows the potential of using color as a core concept of gameplay.
