Before reading on, please click here so that you can start your download! It's been a long journey to finish this project. With the first map being made and released back in 2009 and the second map being released in 2010, it has taken another 2 years for the project to be completely wrapped up.

Initially I intended to just create the final map and do some script and minor graphical upgrades to the previous levels, but while having a beer with Rick one day he suggested that he could help me out with some art to make the levels even more awesome.

"It'll only take like 2 months" he said "we'll make some new rocks and stuff, it'll be easy!" That was back in December. From then until now we've done almost complete rebuilds of the old levels, replaced almost all Half-Life 2 content with original art, and created 2 new levels as well! We have around 300 new textures being used in the mod, along with 300 new models.

It's a great feeling to finally be able to release Mission Improbable. It has been a lot of late nights and long hours to get it done, and we sincerely hope you'll enjoy playing it. In case your download hasn't finished quite yet, then you can take a look at the launch trailer below.

Yes, it happened to me, although I kept on playing like that and I did enjoy!
Well...I was pretty sure that was part of the idea. *_*
And I couldn't just interrupt playing this masterpiece, if be honest xP

Sorry to hear that you don't have a crosshair! Try writing "crosshair 1" in the console, it should make it appear.

Great job on the redux guys, but I'm having an issue with the lighting. Feels like all the brighter/darker colors are incredibly washed out, making dark areas appear gray instead of black. (These screenshots are without color correction, which gave all the dark colors a weird reddish hue)

Is there any way of fixing this, through the console or something? This problem doesn't seem to exist in the original Mission Improbable part 1+2 or other HL2 mods. That can't be how the game is meant to look... right? I've looked all over the comments but I've seen no mention of this, so hopefully it's something on my end I can fix somehow.

I have the same problem with the washed out colours, not annoying but very noticeable. There's also an instance when I'm at the top of the lighthouse I can clearly see the edges of the map. I tried to disable HDR and it was a bit better but I could still see the edges when I turned around. Otherwise a very high quality mod with superb gameplay and mapping.

I wonder if these two things are related (being able to see the "corners of the world" and fog not affecting enemies/player weapons). I've noticed that other people have experienced the same thing, but I'm sorry to say I have no solution for you.

Also, I should mention that messing with the Gamma settings in options didn't fix this.

It's like an Expansion Pack for HL2. And it's not one of those cheap Mods, this campaign is so good it could've been in the original game.
