We are pleased and relieved to announce that Missing Information 1.6 is now available to the general public. The highlight of this release is of course the heavily overhauled Hyperborea chapter. We listened to your criticisms and what you will find in this mod is a rebalanced campaign with altered gameplay and a much better sampling of health and items, as well as numerous bug fixes. Yes, the crash bug in the last map is a thing of the past, and so is Odell's surreal descent down the stairs. Although admittedly the first year of this release's development was spent doing virtually nothing, we gained a few more team members and went into overdrive in the last year and three months with the determination to deliver something that felt as close to a polished Valve chapter as possible. We spent time coming up with a plausible story behind the Hyperborea, one that we feel is probably as close to Valve's original intentions as anyone is going to get, and we have done our best to ensure the gameplay and scripted sequences keep in line with this story. Many areas have received a visual overhaul as well and a sampling of new models and textures have been created to give the mod more of a distinct feel.

Hyperborea Borealis Submarine

We hope you enjoy the updated Hyperborea. We feel confident in saying that it is the most polished example of fixed content from the Half Life 2 leak, but that is up to you guys to decide. We really cannot thank you fans enough for being patient in spite of our inability to keep true to our previous release dates. Download links can be found here.

"While it is well known that you don't care that much for players, so why pretend?"

Take a step back and look at how whiny and entitled you sound, and then ask yourself who WOULD care about any of this naive **** you're saying?

You know what I'd appreciate? If you stopped assuming things based on your interpretation of past events.

We're not implementing the Hydra, and we're not wasting time on arguing with you when all you're doing is insulting our team and the people behind our mod.

There's no point in trying to argue this with you because you obviously doesn't value reason at all.

Take it somewhere else. May I suggest http://agnmi.roflforum.net?

Any more posts like these that I feel is slightly insulting to anyone on this page, this team or anything in that nature will be deleted without further warning.

Have a nice day.

Alright. Guess we'll never see eye to eye about all this. Excuse me for all these harsh interpretations.
You have your right to do - or not to do - anything you want (and it's not like I grant you the right by speaking about it), but I personally feel that in the end you may just lose part of the auditory. That has been said numerous times though, nothing new about it. Or it's also likely that you won't, because... well, the things that could be said on this matter are going to be taken as insults, so I'll keep them to somewhere else.

Stll wish you'd see the Hydra the way I do or that you'd prove yourself to be more open if/when someone makes Hydra into a real thing, but I think I might've just screwed this altogether.

How was calling us lazy and unimaginative supposed to come across as anything but insulting? Honestly, we were willing to have a rational discussion about our reasons for not including the hydra before you started going off on this emotional rant about it. Rest assured that the hydra probably wasn't going to be included anyway before you started this. I don't know how you expected anything constructive to come from acting like a demanding ******* when you don't even sign our checks, but then again, from what I can tell, you are pretty far in denial about how much of a douchebag you are.

Do you know what we did when we were dissatisfied with all the other leak mods out there? We started our own. You don't need a special license to do any of this stuff, so how about you go give it a try and stay the hell away from us.

Can't help but see you as unimaginative. Sorry, but that's just so. It's either that you aren't willing to go any further than what's in the book or in the leak, or that somehow the techniques that work in many games aren't appliable to the Hydra problem. And it is hard to believe, that the problem cannot be solved. The argument holds regardless of how I present it. And Valve aren't ultimate geniuses either, they have been proved wrong on numerous occasions, and this applies to Hydra as well.
The point is, well, how could you know how people will react to Hydra, etc. if you haven't done a public test for it? And if you did, it is much more likely that the public would've appreciated greately (it has special standarts actually). Well, I'm not calling you servants to the public, although I do believe in this generally.

Since you were unwilling to debate from the start, I thought some flame won't hurt anyway.

**** the "public". We're making this mod for own sake, and not some whiny-*** 12-year old claiming we owe him something because he's too inept to do anything on his own.

Have you managed to fix the Hydra so it isn't a laggy ************? I thought not. Fix that and we'll talk. We're not wasting anyones time on animating that blue ****.

You can take your flames and get the hell out of here. I don't care what you thought. We're not your punching bag.

As Junk said, you're in too much denial to realize you might be the biggest ******* that's ever come across this page. You're not the all-knowing-leak-god so shove that attitude up your *** or leave.

As Junk again pointed out, you don't know what we've tried. We've been around since 2005, we've had plenty of time to mess around with ****.

If you're making this for yourselves then why does it have a public release?

Yeah sorry man, we aren't making this mod to be famous or well liked or anything, we're doing it to play the leak content we want to see. This is not a democracy.

So your saying that you don't care about any of your fans you have accumulated over the years, and are doing this for personal use? If that's the case, then why release it to the public in the first place if you don't want feedback, popularity, or respect? If this was your entire plan, then I must ask, why?

This modification not only follows the original valve art style but is also keeping users up-to-date again. With moronic individuals posting 5's out of 10 because of their lack of interest or understanding of a project of this scale, this leaves fans with pretty much all the knowledge of the Half-Life universe to rate a 10/10 and give information to support. Half-Life 2 was to have a 50+ hour campaign and have over 20 weapons. Fun fact: The Borealis in fact was owned by a scientific research team…

Well, it is a great mod, there have really been some work in this, but there is also some big glitches that makes it... bad. The stalker-looking enemies is not well made, they doesn't look good, but a nice detail with the laser, but it damaging a little too much. And if you have passed a checkpoint/loading screen, you can't go back without it crashes (or at least it was what happened to me). Then your partner tries to walk down stairs, he just flyes around it, walking in walls and so on, undtil…
