Mini Mod four new factions. All new units and structures are to scale to each other.

The factions;
North Korea
After secretly stockpiling materials from the Russian Federation and China, the North Korean Army quickly overran South Korea. This new, powerful North Korea now poses a threat to the entire Pacific theater of operations.
Uses the brute force of conventional weapons. Units and structures are balanced between cost and quality.

African Union
Ending decades of fighting amongst each other, separate factions all across the African continent banded together as a new nation, the African Union. But, believing that the African Union would soon dissolve back into chaos, many countries denied selling arms, leaving the nation with an outdated and makeshift army. This has been negated by income from the now strictly controlled diamond trade.

Main focus with this faction is numbers. Every thing is low tech, and low cost.

United Nations
Years of war with the GLA left the members of the United Nations with depleted resources and manpower. Now they rely on each other more than ever to keep the strength they once had as individual nations. With the emergence of the African Union, and the sudden strengthening of North Korea, technology may be the only thing between these countries and total annihilation.

Relies on high cost, very effective weaponry.

Well, its been a while since i've posted anything. There's a good bit to say though.
First off, i've made a fair amount of progress, although most is fixing things and making things look better.

i've added/replaced a couple of new units;
The M-60 was replaced with the AMX-13;

A Glass Cannon by any other name.

Also added the Fennek to North Korea

Makes for a good scout unit, and the grenade
launcher will make short work of enemy infantry.

There's also a new Artillery piece for the United Nations, but those pics will have to wait.
Thanks to Zathonix for these suggestions.

For the record, i have gotten other suggestions from others and plan on implementing some, i just haven't gotten to them yet.

=======The Ships; Alive or Dead?=======
Dead. Atleast for now.

Main problem is that Generals really doesn't seem to like anything to have more than four turrets, which is a big problem since most of my ship designs have alot more than four turrets. The Yammato was planned to have 77 turrets, resulting in 205 gun barrels with sizes ranging from 0.52 inch to 18.1 inch... Anyways, ships are one of the main reasons i haven't posted in a while, because i couldn't ever get around the turret problem and got tired of trying to mod it.

With all this, ships aren't completely out of the question. i would have to re-design all the navies with small boats, because i really don't want a giant battleship with only four turrets lol. i would also want the boat factories, weather capture or build-based, to not be able to build boats on land. There's also always the chance i can figure out a way to get more turrets, but i don't think i'll spend much time on that in order to avoid burning out again.

Ships being cut also messes up plans for a possible campaign, as ships played a large part in the storyline that i had.

===========AI in the future?===========
Don't know. AI could easily double the amount of
work i've put into this mod, i wish that part was easier.
Or that i liked to do scripting, lol.

i'm thinking about making this page into a hub for multiple mods, if i start making them.
This is the list of things i could make;

Avatar--Tall blue cat-people, not fire nation
Minecraft--The most likely of any of these for me to make
WaterWorld--an old movie, sorta interesting, went way over budget
Sky Oddesy--very good PS2 game, and rather hard to find. Not many unit possibilities though.
Seek and Destroy--PS2 game, plenty of units, good game if you can get over it being a cartoon
Sins of a Solar Empire--would be interesting to see if i could clone this in Generals
WW2--basic WW2 mod, i already have a few things made from a long time ago.
WW1--Actually worked on a WW1 mod for a while, have a fair amount of stuff for it

Some of these ideas have plenty of stuff to make a mod off of, others not so much. The most likely of these would be a Minecraft style mod. i could make a couple of these and package them together. Also, Moddb might have a problem with me putting multiple mods on one page, so i might also make multiple mod pages for the different mods, and use my profile as a hub.

Note that updates will be only every now and then. i might post two or three photos one week, and nothing for the next four or five weeks. We'll see what happens.

Correct! i'm planning on having all guns as of the 1945 refit. Possibly have it able to launch planes too. Hopefully i can make all guns be individually bought/destroyed, which shouldn't be a problem. If so, i might also have other destroyable objects on the ship.

I think it would be better to do the Kiev, the Battleship-Carrier hybrid of the Soviet navy. It had 2 forward turrets with a combination of 6 18 inch cannons, while the stern of the ship had a 300 yard carrier deck capable of launching small fighter-bombers. Japan had a similar ship, but it was from 1943, and never saw combat as a hybrid ship. It's name was the Hyuga.

Well, i looked into it. The African Union dosen't have many planes, nor is it high tech to the point of missiles like the ones seen on the Kiev. i am planning on giving the United Nations an aircraft carrier though, and now might give it some cannons Kiev-style. Thanks for the feedback!

I also had a suggestion about ranks. Instead of doing the 5 stars of General ranks, I think they should start at 1st Lt. and work through Capt. Maj. Colonel, and Brigade General, with Brigade General being the rank that allows for the use of Shock-and-Awe weapons and WMD's. Not sure if its possible though.

I just like the idea, because the way C&C plays, it doesn't seem right that a 5 star general, which are veeeerrrry rare, controls a company of infantry and 10 tanks. I also wondered if their was an option to seperate units from chain of command. Like say, build a brigade of infantry and armor, then seperate it from your direct command, so that it acts kind of like an allied bot or BLUFOR. These are only suggestions, I'm not good with modding, so I have no clue if its possible or should even be attempted. lol

Or, it could be maybe a General's power. Like replacing the 20 infantry drop with an "Allied assistance Drop", where a company of about 6 tanks and 20 infantry Drop on a location, and are auto set to hold their position and draw away enemy units. Kinda like the Splinter cell in the last mission of the GLA campaign. That was a separate division with its own bot controlling the units, but it wasn't overbearingly powerful. It just drew away some of the American Units, and evened out the field. Just an Idea, though. If its not possible, it's not gonna be a mod breaker or anything.

The Mushashi was the Yamato's sister ship. As far as i know, Yamato is the class along with one of the ship's name. hmm, i guess there was two correct answers to this question, lol.

Really helped me to make my textures a lot better, it takes a while to do it properly in the beginning, but you can get fantastic tanks if you follow it, even as a noob. Also you can always experiment with blending modes for highlights and other stuff.
