MMH5.5 is an unofficial expansion pack for HOMM5 Tribes of the East or HOMM5 Complete and a spiritual successor to the popular WOG modification for HOMM3. The pack will include many new adventure objects, new larger battlefields, new heroes, new classes, new specializations, new skills, new artifacts, new adventure spells, new HD textures and a greatly improved RMG with more than 60 'visualized' Templates. The AI is much more intelligent and calculated much faster. Balance is also greatly improved both for small competitive multiplayer maps as well as crazy XXXL maps with countless epic battles vs Neutrals and AI.

First I wanted to say thank you for this amazing mod. I've been playing it for some months now and enjoying it so much.
I Wanted to notify you of something which seems to me a bug and maybe be fixed in a next patch or so. I'm playing Academy faction and for some reason can't convert Necropolis military post which contains bone dragons *no titans for me :(*.
I know there is a limit to conversion of towns and dwellings but I don't think this is the reason cause I'm only at the end of my 2nd month in game and didn't get much dwellings at all. If you need any more info I'll be happy to share so that problem could be fixed.

If this was a bug it would have come up a long time ago, so I think you already hit the limit which by default observes very strictly the player-town ratio for balance reasons. You can however increase the limit to anything (read article)

I have the Game Downloaded on Steam and was wondering if its compatible, if so how and where in my directory should i install it?

You need to select Heroes 5 directory as a target (find it in steam).
To launch the mod properly you should use <game folder>/bin/MMH55_64.exe or the shortcut with the same name on your Desktop. Launching the game from steam will not choose the proper exe file.

It is too unclear from this post what problem you ran into but I can assure you the mod was tested thoroughly and the problem not encounterd by the mod author. If the problem was not caused by a hardware issue (file corruption) or usage of 3rd party mods not supported by h55 programmer (like NCF creatures) the problem might be fixable with the console, but therefore I would need the map and save file before issue occurs and it must be a singleplayer game since Nival made console commands inaccesible in hotseat.

Amazing mod, keep up the good work.

This probably won't ever change becouse it's something original H5 have, but I would be happy if there was a option to get skills randomly or to choose all by yourself. Sometimes with same hero I get all I want before lv15 and sometime my hero is lv23 and still doesn't have all skills I want.

But this is just me. In this mod I really like faster leveling up and ingame skill tree.

Hello!

My girlfriend and I love this mod, but we had to unfortunately uninstall it due to incessant crashes and desync issues. We play on LAN using the MMH55_Utility_64.exe but have also tried using the 32 bit exe. We make sure to enable scripts via Mapmixer or the reanimation tool. We also deleted the RMGTemp folder in the data/ dir. What usually happens is that the game will start crashing 2-3 hours into a match, on an AI turn. Loading previous saves will not circumvent this issue. My only remaining hope is to not use RMG maps I suppose, but I think they add a lot of fun.

Also worth noting it seemed to work fine for the first few days, never crashing or desyncing even once. Now it's every single game. Any ideas?

Hi, I think the crash is related to AI trying to use an artifact merchant (which means it is not a desync). Normally this is prevented by a script, but I have never been able to test this in LAN with AI players (I simply don't have the hardware).

For this reason i have branded the mod not suitable for LAN+AI and consider using utility for this experimental.

It is possible you or your friend has a human-made map installed that causes a script conflict. The game is actually less prone to issues if you only use RMG maps, so it is not at all like you say.

Since you cannot use the console to fix the issue in LAN, you could try not using any Dungeon or Academy AI players, or alternatively set artifact merchants in all Academy and Dungeon towns as forbidden in the map editor.

I'm only recommending this for LAN, if this happens in singleplayer it is an installation issue.

Thank you so much for the quick response! I'm the +1 and it is certainly something we will try as the mod adds so much to the game. I agree it doesn't seem to be a desync issue as it consistently crashes for the host on the same enemy's turn (even loading an autosave back 10~ minutes).

We'll try just not using Dungeon/Academy AI players and report back!

Had to install some dll files (um.dll, libcurl.dll and granny2.dll) and after that a message along the lines of "Couldnt find '_GrannyEvaluateCurveAtT(at-sign)20' in 'granny2.dll' kept appearing making the mod unplayable.

The 14x14 battlefields are only for special sites such as dragon utopia, griffin tower, arcane tower, blood temple etc...

Hello guys,
I'd like to ask about necromancy skill for non-necropolis factions (dungeon etc.)
In the external guide is written that it raises as own-soldiers but currently it still undead creatures, so is it ok or bug? If not a bug then this skill looks useless :(

and one more comment: I think there is no need to give destructive magic from the start to each warlock, because it easy to prevent (i mean getting shatter destruction), there is no intrigue and flexibility of warlock build especially playing against the necromancer... But anyway I'd like to say a lot of thanks - game is more balance and it's amazing
