Mideast Crisis 2] (MEC2) is a total conversion for 'Command and Conquer 3 - Tiberium Wars' set in the near future, letting you use modern technology (such as the Abrams, F-35 and Hind) alongside future technology (such as Drones, Airships and Medibots) in a conflict ranging from Jerusalem to Beirut.

You know those "bland name products" in movies/tv dramas/anime that are so over the top that you just can't take seriously that satires the real life product?

... They this game appears to be one of those. No campaigns, over-the-top dialog, dark humor, among other things...

... For any other game this would be the end, but for MEC2 all these are just part of the theme.

The lack of canpaign and plot in general highlight the futility of the current conflict in the Middle East without actually needing to make a statement support either real life faction. The dark humor masked, while at the same time pointing out, the disfunctions and faults that can be found in the real life conterparts of the various factions. And sometimes, we do like a game that does not take itself that seriously while making sharp geo-political commentary.

Oh yea, I almost forgot about gameplay. MEC2 foucs on smaller scale conflicts using less troops, allowing players to utilize all of his/her units to the full extend of their abilities. Choices are not that many which force players to think outside the box in order to win.

So far the best mod for C&C 3.
