"Mideast Crisis 2"(MeC2) is a total conversion for "Command and Conquer 3: Tiberian Wars" by Isotx as the sequel to its "Command and Conquer: Generals - Zero Hour" conversion "Mideast Crisis". Isotx teamed up with Derelict Studios, in which the staff for MeC2 is largely composed out of core team members from past SAGE engine mods such as; Blitzkrieg 2, Halogen (now known as Asylum), Mideast Crisis and Rise of Rome.
MeC2 features 3 distinct factions; Israel Defense Forces, the Guardians of Islam and the UN Peacekeepers which you can play in both multiplayer and singleplayer spanning maps (and missions) from Beirut to Jerusalem.
MeC2's gameplay focuses on occupation warfare within cities using 3 types of resources; money (from occupation taxes), fuel (from oil derricks and gas stations) and special ammunition (from ammo crates). We're also bringing back secondary resources in the form of; embedded reporters, settlements and hacking.
Stay tuned in the upcoming weeks and months, we have a great deal of surprises and innovations to show.

There will be no release in July, August is now the target month. While we are quite close to release, a couple of major things prevent us from getting it out this month:
The benefit to this is that the release will include a couple more units, buildings and maps that were planned to be released in a future update.
One of the changes is the Apache shown below. See it? Isn't it shiny?
Well, we're cutting it and replacing it with a new attack helicopter for the IDF--the Gideon.
How to Survive a Merkava attack as GOI
See a large force of Merkava's approaching your base? Your MiGs are busy reloading--what do you do?
It's simple. You hit the 'Mr.Stop' and 'Production Boost' powers, halting the enemy units and drastically increasing your production speed and letting you crank out T-90's with ease. Something to note, when your production is increased, the smoke stacks of your factories spew fire (you can see it on the production building in the screens).
Blackhawks
No infantry screens yet, we're still tweaking them. In the meantime, here is the Blackhawk which is how your infantry are delivered to the battlefield.

When RA3 is released, ohohho, I'm looking forward to the miracles you guys are gonna make with it. Maby even a RA2 remake, or even better, a RA3 improvement
Or, in the same way this mod emulates the conflict in MidEast, one about the Georgia/Russia/South Ossetia war.
Is this mod going to be playable soon? im ripping my heir out thinking about it.
I am eagerly awaiting for this mod. It looks to be very promising. Though I havnt seen much, but from what I have seen I can honestly say that you guys have done an outstanding job. This and Asylum are the two mods I am really looking forward to playing.
Congrats to you guys for making it this far, not many mods do make it this far so that alone is an achievement.

Is the UN unit list not ready for posting? Because that's who I'm really looking forward to.
The UN won't be in the first release, and honestly they are nowhere near as complete as the GOI/IDF...after release we'll start showing the updated UN.
