Its just a visual overhaul of native with nice looking LOTR models from other mods, there are no big changes in the scrips. This is my first mod. I didnt like the look of other LOTR mods like TLD, so I start creating a mod for myself.

[UPD] Mod Status

News 1 comment

This mod is a project for myself and more a hobby for between. So I do not know if or how fast it progresses. Perhaps it will not be finished before Bannerlord gets released and than I have no more time for modding ;)

Maybe Ill upload my current verion (alpha version) soon.

What is allready done:

  • 12 factions:
    • Gondor
    • Rohan
    • Mordor
    • Isengard
    • Harad
    • Rhun
    • High Elves
    • Silvan Elves
    • Orcs of Misty Mountains
    • Eriador/Arnor
    • Dwarves
    • Dale
  • Singleplayer map of Middle Earth
  • Weapons and armors for most factions
  • Unit trees for every faction
  • Multiplayer equipment for players and bots
  • LOTR music in game

What is planned:

  • improve some textures that are not good yet
  • equipment/race for dwarves (no cool armors ect. atm :-/ )
  • Town scenes like Minas Tirith, Helms Deep ect. (for single- and multiplayer)
  • Mordor gets a more "dark" sand
  • heroes like aragorn, witch king as kings and counts
  • fixing smaller things like orc skins, trolls, banners, music/sounds

What may come:

  • wargs
  • changing dialogs and other text stuff

What is NOT planned:

  • non human races playable
  • Mumakil (i have no programming skills :'(, i would love to see them like in "The Veiled Stars" mod preview, but this mod is dead)
  • big changes in script like missions, events...

In general, it will be very similar to native gameplay, but with LOTR feeling:)

Development break, sorry :(

Unfortunately, for personal reasons, lately I had not the opportunity, the mob and moddb to pay attention. However, it will probably continue from december...

This face is more darker than the majority of vanilla faces, with custom black-shade around the eyes to match the Lôke-Gamp Rim from the movies.

While this mod may have a bunch of edges to iron out, it's definitely looking very promising so far, even for being a starters mod. I'm very impressed with your work so far, and I can't wait to see the final build :P I've tested out the previous two, and this latest one has been insanely promising.

Take all the time you need for a break, we'll be here when you get back :) Have fun!

please update this, this is exactly the kind of middle earth sandbox mod people want only main problem with this is that factions like isegard and orcs of angmar ettenmoors black mountain moria etc
need more settlements so their not killed of so soon and easily even if its just generic castle and villages added like orc encampment/fort and orc supply, slave, outpost north east south west scout camp village etc etc stuff like that

balancing things no elf should cut through umptine orcs or goblins despite whatsin the films it should be like 2 to one ratio one elve can just about defeat two orcs of the equivilant level and elves and uruks just about equal. everyone seems to have a hard on for elves and dwarfs in these mods would like to see evil
as a decent fighting force

also lore wise it be gud if you could make it more like err 4th age or summit not exactly knowlegible on lore things like that, but u could set it just after defeat of sauron and its just orc uruk trolls remnants dunlanders etc reforming and fighting? be gud you could add in your own custom bad guys
leaders npc heros and villians make it not just another generic lotr war of the ring mod could even still have some nazgul leading forces doesnt have to be 100
percent accurate wraiths would be nice to see just something wraith looking and called it would do you could ask around other modders and see if they have some assets for troops you could use?

Looks very good and promising ;)
There's a tower missing in the middle of Edoras, btw (if you base it on the movies).
You should join our team for the Kingdoms of Arda mod for Bannerlord, we could use a dedicated fan like you :D

Hey, I was wondering why all the LOTR mods for Warband (except for TLD, who have the book accurate armors) don't merge together. You guys could take the best models from each mod, and the best map, etc and join together. :)
For example, there is a Game of Thrones mod for Total War Attila, named Seven Kingdoms, who was originally two mods, and their developpers didn't want to merge. But they finally did it, and it gave great results!
I understand tho if you don't want to, because you have different interpretations of LOTR, and you don't want to srap a lot of what you created for your own mods, etc. But think about it, and good luck with your mods!
