Here's a big announcement to start with right away. Anyone familiar with the divide between Zandronum and ZDoom knows about the irritation of only having one to play with--you want to play your favorite ZDoom mod on Zandronum, you want to play your favorite Zandronum mod on ZDoom.
Well, good news!
Thanks to the magic of ijon tichy, the cvarinfo has been completely repurposed to do different functions when--sorry, is this a little technical?
The short of the matter is that now the mod can detect when it's being run in Zandronum or ZDoom, and adjust itself accordingly!
Though this will undoubtedly bring up a lot of problems in the future when Zandronum starts catching up with ZDoom, for now being able to use one single .pk3 for two different source ports is a gigantic boon. Team up with your buddies online, or prowl through levels in singleplayer without needing two separate builds entirely!
