The 'Middle Earth Roleplaying Project' aims to recreate J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle Earth in the Creation engine of 'Skyrim'. The player will be plunged into Middle Earth near the end of the Third Age, not long before the War of the Ring breaks out.

signed, WB is bullshitting you guys, I'd say you guys at least continue to make your mod for private use, they can IN NO WAY stop you from that even if they say they will they cant and even if they could theres no way they would know what the hell is on your guys computers jesus
no actually keep making your mod available to the public no company can make a claim on something they dont own, they dont own your mod you do. you created it so long as your not selling it they can cry and bitch all they want but they cant "take your property" your "fanart" your "content"
This isn't right at all. If you take inspiration only from the books, Warner Bros has no right to send you a C&D because your love for the BOOKS. They are entitled to the movies and the video games related to the movies, but creating a mod from a book should in no way call for a C&D.
Honestly quit being nice to these guys, they really just want money.

Aye I have signed the petition and I must agree that Tolkien must be rolling in his grave to see what people are doing with his work, to see them trying to crush creativity based on his work, Warner Bros. should be ashamed of themselves.

Signed. You may also want to reply telling them you took inspiration from the books, not the movies. That would clear a great deal of legal troubles if it worked, and it's worth a shot.
