can't wait, any idea on when you're gonna give us the first version for testing?

We aren't going to be doing it like we did in Oblivion. We will explain more later, but the way we are doing it will give you a playable version of MERP much faster. However, we are debating releasing the heightmap to explore freely, but no promises on that.

Nice. I believe Skyrim already deeply resembles Rohan, so I imagine this will look great when we play.

Yeah, it has a Rohan feel. However, we are using textures from QTP3 to supplement Skyrim's since Rohan in the books is quite green

When i think of Rohan golden fields come to my mind. A green Rohan would ruin the way I imagine it :(

And lots of other's imaginations were ruined when the movies didn't make it green, as described in the book. This mod is first and foremost based on the books.

Oooh I can just imagine, riding through the plain fields of Rohan and suddenly in front of me, I see Edoras. A mighty sight of epicness.

Seriously this is going to be awesome...

Same here, although I'm also looking forward to seeing the lights of the last farm of Hobbiton disappear in the night between the trees :) I guess I'm going to keep the book close at hand while playing, to not miss any details of the story (and also to review how detailed skymerp really is :P ).

or to meet a some Rohan riders, greeting you with the banners of Rohan, while they are on their daily patrol :')

That's a good idea, the thing about the book :D

Is there a general release date goal? As in, in the next year/two years?

+1 vote     reply to comment
Nuvendil Apr 6 2012, 1:28am replied:

We aren't giving those cause we don't know. How many times do we have to say that. We MAY give a ballpark estimate when we know the release is very very close, but that time isn't here yet.
