Mental is a Half-Life 2: Episode 2 horror modification that focuses on suspension and atmosphere along with non-linear story telling.
The before image has better contrast and more interesting lighting. I suggest going back to the blue lighting and maybe making a red and white coloured version of that grey brick texture to match the color scheme of the before image.
The bad contrast is due to fraps being like it is. Its still wip though so we'll see how it will end up looking like.
