Seeing this much interest in our little project and having entered the TOP100 of ModDB's 2014 Mod of the Year for the 5th time in a row in this annual contest rekindles my interest in continuing it. While we didn't make the update many were waiting to happen this year, we haven't been slacking off and I hope the new content we've been working on and the improvements to what you already have will make up for it next year. There is a big thing coming along with long overdue fixes and I think you'll like it.

Big thanks to everyone who voted for us this year, the second round is still on-going so if you'd like to vote for us again, head to the voting page with the TOP100 mods.

To celebrate that, we are revealing the next batch of new features for Mental Omega. Yuri restarts the Psychic Amplifier project and is keen on defeating the Allies hidden within the London Fortress without having his forces ever set foot on the British Islands.

I hope that the soviet in 3.0 will be much more balance. In 2.0 psi they are dominating in every aspect, migs are way much better than black eagles and only cost 200 more, terror drones and kirov are way too fast and are much harder to kill than in YR.

It's kinda sad that the apocalypse tank is not going to be in the mod anymore, i would trade it for tesla cruiser because it's the thing that symbolize cnc.

Actually, Kirovs have almost half the health they had in YR, and terror drones can be removed with a simple IFV/Salvage disc/repair drone. I suppose the MIGs had too much health, but it was the same thing for the other jets in the mod.
I do agree, however, that all sides had some overpowered things, and I hope MO 3 will fix that.
As for the apocalypse, you can expect the catastrophe tank to be the closest thing to an apocalypse (save the dual cannons), with a gun port on the side for even further adaptability.
Oh man I can't wait....

Wrong on the first information. 2.0 Kirovs had more health than YR. In 3.0, they wil have less health than in 2.0, but mora than YR. Also remember that, now, there are T3 AA systems.

The MIGs where nerfed in 2.0 with a patch btw...

Also don´t worry. We are working hard on balance.

Yes, and even with the patch it's still overpowered as being the only jet that can destroy a battle tank by itself alone and have a very small cost. And ussr with heavy armor powerup make theirs kirov even more powerful than standard.

Will definitely like 3.0 when it's out. Love the way you turn the flak troopers into an Anti-Tank unit.

On the topic of tanks, it seems that china does not have any artillery. You might argue that Chinese armor is so tough it doesn't need artillery, but some units like epsilon mind control units and chaos drones are specialized in turning the enemy's strength against it. So running straight into an epsilon base can mess up your army really, really fast. Then again, there is still a chinese T3 unit not revealed yet, so I hope it's some kind of siege unit... or a type of, i dunno, Centurion Siege Crawler?

By the way, I love how there are only 3 subfactions for each facttion, and each one has a unique playstyle; it makes things much simpler and fun. Also, is the Union of Soviet Super Robots (I see what you did there) the same as Russia?

1. There are no Chaos Drones. China's advanced EMP technology is a super effective counter against Masterminds. China also has plenty of units to use versus MC troops.

Thanks plenty for your reply, but I haven't really seen EMP weapons for the chinese aside from the dragonfly. Speaking of the dragonfly (which I think is way overpriced), how will it work? It can disable enemy units, but can the dragonfly be removed like terror drones?
I'm glad those OP chaos drones are no more.

I noticed the soviets lack a dedicated stealth detection unit. The borillo is way too slow to effectively detect stealth. I was thinking of making terror drones detect stealth, that way they can attack stealthed units too, instead of inexplicably exiting the vehicle when it cloaks again. Or make a support power that detects stealth.

Sorry for the lengthy comment (I have more questions but I figure they'll be answered in time), and thanks for bearing with me. Cheers.

Dragonfly, Yunru, EMP Mines. Dragonflies are deadly if used properly, especially against mind control.

Borillo is an amphibious tank first and then an amphibious transport. It is not just a unit you build to get your troops somewhere, it's basically something that should be in your attack force. Also, it's not slow at all! Terror Drone can't carry stealth for the reasons Graion already mentioned.

Dragonfly is a flying Infector Tank, it'll work just like that. It's justjumpjet and is terribly armored.

I did thought at first that Borillo as a stealthdetector is a BAD idea, but in fact Boriillos are more than useful on the battlefield, because they have a really good weapon as an APC. Not to mention that they are amphibious, which makes them even subdetectors as well.

Not to mention, the thing you mention with Terror Drones is a YR bug and can't be fixed by making Drones stealthdetectors.

Easily one of the best, most professional "YR+" mods around. MO is genuinely produced as a "YR expansion", continuing the game's theme and storyline with a whole brand new campaign for all three factions.

While bringing in a few new ideas and a lot of new units for the games houses (without being overcrowded), MO doesn't depart too much from the original games atmosphere - a great mod for anyone who wants 'a little bit more YR'.

Попытки "автора" улучшить существующий вариант привели к внедрению в готовый проект умных иванов и гениев, что намекает на не сильную развитость личного гения польского товарища.
