Furthering the Red Alert 2 legacy, Mental Omega builds on what was established by Westwood Studios and expands upon the conflict between the Allies, Soviets, and Yuri's Epsilon. Enhanced with the powerful Ares DLL, Mental Omega 3.0 strives to bring new features to Command & Conquer Red Alert 2 Yuri's Revenge while maintaining a strong sense of gameplay balance. Mental Omega 3.0 continues where the first Red Alert left off and branches out into an expanded universe with brand new missions for all three factions.

Mental Omega 3.0 requires a working installation of Red Alert 2 & Yuri's Revenge to be played. All releases (original 2001 release, The First Decade, The Ultimate Collection etc.) are compatible with it.

Mental Omega APYR 3.0


The first release includes:

  • 9 new subfactions with their own unique sets of units
  • 36 new single player missions, including a campaign for Yuri
  • 18 new cooperative maps for 2 players
  • new skirmish/multiplayer maps
  • new skirmish/multiplayer game modes
  • updated visuals & audio
  • a new soundtrack (separate download)

please can anybody provide me something that can disable the running cost feature, it makes planning impossible, i am in Epslion mission 2, no money coming in and all i got at the end was more drain from running cost feature!!! driving me crazy or otherwise a great naval mission...
oh, i kind of get the feeling i have made too much "noise" in this forum, if there are more appropriate place for me to ask and express, I will shut up from here and go to the proper place.

You should read stuff on the website a bit more carefully. All the answers to your questions are there.

Buildings in 2.0 have running costs which makes them take your money a little all the time.

sorry man...don't mean to bug you, i have taken a good look at the website: Mo.cncguild.net not just the other changes page, but other as well, i couldn't have anything about the running cost...

anyway, I would hope this would not be in 3.0 cause this is weird and annoying, and although i have two oil barrels building at my procession, they don't seem to generate no money... but the running cost depletion surely noticeable...

anyway, just thought, don't get mad...

Well, technically stealth in YR is actually just the same logic for subs, but applied to units on land. Terror Drones react badly to stealthed units, this is a known bug, and cannot be fixed at this time.

one thing I noticed about the shadow tank, it seems it is not much of generating an illusion, but rather making the tank phasing out if you know what i mean... the terror drone failed to have an full effect to damage the tank, when ever the shadow tank went stealth again, the terror drone just popped back right out, almost, i mean almost similar to chronominer!! have my observation been right?? and how psychic illusion technology work?? do they create illusion in the mind, like the mirage tank, but in the mind, of are there deeper magic at work there?? just curious...

ok, encountered error. One of my Yuri got stuck on the wall in the first mission, so I saved in hope to reload and the problem would be gone. But when i loaded the save game, it crashed, and said something called a swish error detected, the rest of the sentence i couldn't understand, anyway, the game could not be reloaded, I tried to restart the actually game and load again, it didn't work... and also, after the crashed, whenever I tried to load any previous save game, the ingame UI got funny looking, but when i restarted the mission then loaded that same save game, UI went back to all Yuri mighty!!

ok, finished the first Epsion mission!! very fun to play, but also very challenging!! (I actually played in easy mode, it was hard man...)feedback: would be great if we are allowed to build mind control unit at the beginning, I meant start from the first mission, the one I have just finished. Also, would be great if you can add a second function to the shadow tank, so that the play can choose their shadow tank not to fire, after all, they are essentially stealth tank!! auto fire are great for the defense for the terror drone though.

Easily one of the best, most professional "YR+" mods around. MO is genuinely produced as a "YR expansion", continuing the game's theme and storyline with a whole brand new campaign for all three factions.

While bringing in a few new ideas and a lot of new units for the games houses (without being overcrowded), MO doesn't depart too much from the original games atmosphere - a great mod for anyone who wants 'a little bit more YR'.
