Seems like that the enemy is Yunru's Chinese Force with so many tech nuke plants(why not Soviet Nuke Reactorσ( ̄^ ̄)?).

I'm sure that there are 8 tech nuke plants in Yunru's base.

Can't wait for most of the missions to actually become physically possibly by the average human being. :D

No ones said anything about the lasher and magnetron tanks [In soviet colours] at the bottom right, or a possible topol-m launcher by the tunnel in the green base =P

I'm not sure abouut the Topol, but yes, Psicorps units are there (including some Marauder tanks). Maybe a point for reinforcements or the start of the mission?

Probably starting units. Also of note: 6 PsiCorps Elites just north of them on the water. Also, also: No obvious way for the starting tanks to reach the upper landmass and join the Elites.

There are two tunnel mouthes on the map. That will likely be the way to join the two forces (and reach proto-Foehn's base).

There are three tunnels. Two lead off map, the other is a road-to-nowhere (look closely on the south island). I think the player will clear the south island first then get units/base for the north island.

Woohoo, congrats and all my thanks for that work, Mentalmeisters!

A shame for this fine proto-Foehn base we'll have to destroy, though. Will the Mastodon and Gharials be fought for the first time here?

I don't think the base itself will be our target. It is way too much defended. I think our objective will be to create a strife between chinese forces and proto-foehn forces. And i think there will be multiple starting points left for the player to choose.

Description

As the holiday break is over, it's time for an update on where things stand for Mental Omega.

* * *

First of all, congratulations to Twisted Insurrection and Dawn of the Tiberium Age for reaching the TOP10 in Player's Choice MOTY Awards 2017! If you haven't tried these mods yet, now's a very good time, as the December updates to both have made them better than ever, and they're standalone, which means you don't have to look for a copy of Tiberian Sun to play them.

I'd also like to thank everyone who voted for Mental Omega in this year's competition - thanks to you we've made it to TOP100 for the 8th time in a row!

* * *

As for the mod itself and the upcoming release, out of 10 new singleplayer missions that'll be added in 3.3.3, there is still one that's being worked on and Ares 1.0, which thanks to AlexB will restore the save/load functions, is still being tested. Once these two are finished, the update will happen.

If I had to guess, I'd say everything could be ready for a February release. The proposed changelog will be revealed later this week.

After that, we'll be aiming for one more update in 2018, patch 3.3.4, which would feature all the remaining Act Two and Foehn Origins missions.
