Are those tesla rockets they're firing out of their cannons? O.o

Nice to see this feature implemented in Ares :)

So it means that if the unit has launched first set of attack in other words shells and then stops and moves on onto another target and then it will start with the second set....in other words missiles...cause then it will be something new...or else is it that there is certain time limit until the unit will continue the cycle or start a new one? '-'...sorry if my comment seems a little weird...its just that some units use different weapons to eliminate different types of targets so what changes would be to that?...

It will fire all weapons at any target. Depending on what stage it is, it will either fire shells or launch a volley of missiles. Think Twinblade or Comanche from SAGE C&Cs.

I have to say, I don't like this Apoc design. It reminds me of old Rolls Royces, propably because it's so flat and long.

Nuwa Cannon uses uranium shells.

I am referring to the fact that the shells form the original RA2 are much more suitable for Apocalipse tank, imho.

Explosion. Small nuclear explosion. Tesla "boom" is not good for outdated war maschine

It's not outdated. It's a prototype of a modern weapon that didn't go on mass production.

And nuclear weapon is used by Nuwa Cannon so it's a no go.

With Mental Omega's new timeline, the Apocalypse is brand new (like it was in RA2), so it is far from outdated.

"Thus the Apocalypse was reluctantly retired... Some Soviet generals still keep a few models around for the nostalgia factor..." (from cncguild.net)

:/

The Apocalypse is indeed very advanced and comparatively new, but due to the prohibitive costs it was retired.

this reminds me of that mission in the original red alert 2 ..or was it yuris revenge? anyway the point is: in the mission you had to protect the the battle lab from from people wanting to obtain the apoc tank. now its like that for multiplayer in this mod :) what a twist!

Description

Something that's being tested for Ares 0.3, namely the Gattling Cycle logic. It allows you to add a set of weapons for a unit just like with standard gattling logic and make it looped. After the last weapon is fired, unit will return to the first weapon and go through all stages again.

Gattling Cycle branch is available for tests in the Unstable Builds section on Ares DLL website.
