...in the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war.. Men of the Emperor: Burning Horizon hopes to bring the brutal, grim, dark and wonderful universe of Warhammer 40,000 we all love to the Men of War real-time strategy game franchise. With a small but dedicated team, we hope to bring as much of WH40K into the game as we can.
A Chainsword is a common form of chain weapon, essentially a sword with motorized teeth that run along the blade like those of a chainsaw. Most versions make use of monomolecular-edged or otherwise razor sharp teeth. The weapon makes an angry buzzing sound as the teeth spin around, intensifying into a high pitched scream as they grind into armour.
It is a popular weapon of Imperial Guard officers, and boarding and assault parties - such as Space Marine Assault Squads, Chaos Space Marines - especially Raptors, Eldar Striking Scorpions, and Pirates.

model and textures by Chompster
the black around the blades won't be in-game.
Glad to see you go for alpha channel blades, probably would've built up alot of polys if you went with modelling the blade teeth.
yeah, was considering it but went with this anyway.
any idea if it's possible to animate them?
I believe you can with 3DS Max, building it in the same way as a tank track, then scrolling the texture to make an animation, whether it will export or the GEM engine accepts it, i don't know.
Or you could try and get the GEM engine code to do it for you, but it might not be connected to do animations and only works when an object is moving, it will be built in the same way as i said above but without doing the animation.
I have limited knowledge on doing stuff with alpha'd objects such as animations with them.
alright, well thanks the response we'll see. hopefully it works, but if it doesn't, ehh..
Awesome! That is so good!
How you guys are doing its melee? Do AI automatically charge at enemy when wielding this weapon only?
hopefully not, maybe later on for some dedicated melee units but for imperial guard sergeants and such it'll be mostly for looks.
Nice to see new updates again, this mod is really coming along nicely, Keep it up man ;)
