Medieval Kingdoms: Total War is a total conversion of Total War: Attila with brings the game to the high middle ages, set in the starting year of 1212 AD going until 1453 AD. This mod will completely revamp the game with new factions, units and much much more! (Yes this is the same mod team as for the Rome 2 version.)
So Tsardoms Total War just had it's first release the other day. A couple of their team members pointed out how we took a lot of inspiration from their Serbian roster for ours. So we talked it out, besides me adjusting the credits a little, I wanted to show one of the units that got the most inspiration from Tsardoms with a side by side conmparison. I was actually thinking about doing a screen like this anyway.
I don't really understand, if they are both historical correct or historically inspired by art, descriptions etc. Then i can't see how anyone can claim you're "taking/stealing" their art.
Both look good :)
Most the models are not even from the Total War engine, its stuff from Mount and Blade etc
Most of the models definitely look exactly like the ones in M&B lol
I would clarify , that it is not "most" models, but some models... A lot of work has been put into retexturing the vanilla models as well
Its almost freaky. I think Ive used that exact blue gambeson and sallet combo before lol
I think it's not a matter of the models, but the roster itself. They probably did a fair amount of research to assemble their roster, and if MKTW looked to their roster for inspiration, it's only fair to credit them for their research efforts even if no models were shared etc.
i agree. also its not like they are making money off of this as its a free mod
copying history is illegal!! >:D
This mod will have campaign?
yes, eventually
