Since its establishment in 1941 the United Kingdom Special Air Service, the SAS, has always been a key player in the success of the key conflicts in this great war, an SAS agent is highly trained in espionage, tactics and combat, they are swift, they are versatile and they are very, very effective. An SAS officer is not just great, an SAS officer is the best.

As on of these operatives, you, Jack Grillo, are one of our finest men we have. However, Over the next few weeks you are to undergo extensive tactical training, for in precisely 3 Months time, the Americans will be joining the conflict and we need someone like you to let them in gently. I do not doubt that you are aware that this information is all highly classified and so I suggest that you dispose of this document throughourly, the last thing we want is information from someone like you falling into enemy hands.

Our American cousins, along with our counterparts the OSS, are to begin their contribution to the war effort by launching a full scale invasion of the stretch of north Africa coastline, in an attempt to destroy Hitler's Afrika Corps before they go in, they have requested that we send in an operative to sabotage the coastal defenses at Arzew, and retrieve vital geographical documents necessary for the invasion. After, and only after achieving these goals will you be required to radio back the go ahead for the yanks to invade.

I'm sure you understand why we have chosen you for this mission, and that you must go alone if you are to remain undetected. This is vital at all costs.

This will not be an easy mission Major Grillo, and if you fail we will have to go to great lengths to retain the situation. Finally, in the event of the worst happening it is imperative that you do not surrender any information, the security of this mission cannot be compromised, and I am confident you will succeed.
