"Will you be a living legend or a forgotten casualty?"

By the 31st century, humanity has spread to thousands of worlds, while a handful of powerful empires wage continual war for the right to rule the stars. Foremost among the weapons used in that struggle are BattleMechs. Loaded with auto cannons, missile launchers, lasers, and charged-particle beam weapons, these fusion-powered war machines of articulated armor stand upward of ten meters high. Piloting them are MechWarrior’s, the best, most intensively trained men and women available. Like the armored knights of an earlier age, MechWarrior’s are popular heroes, and their exploits are the stuff of legends.

MechWarrior: Living Legends (MWLL) is a total conversion modification for Crysis. MWLL is at its very core a mix between a First Person Shooter (FPS) and a Simulation (SIM). This will be achieved through the use of a mixed arms massively multiplayer gaming experience where the player takes part in a battle using a variety of vehicles and weapons. MWLL is using the concepts pioneered by the “Battlefield” franchise and more recently Crysis, of a sandbox feel where you get to play what you want and how you want it. MWLL depicts the epic struggles between the two factions of Battletech “The Clans” and “The Inner Sphere”. Maps will typically have a mix of vehicles and infantry combat, using both of these to complete objectives as a team will be essential to winning rounds or campaigns in MWLL. In the project we will be bringing some of the legends of “MechWarrior” franchise back to life with new art and animations that do justice to these huge weapons of war and also do something that’s never be done before using the deep universe of Battletech. There are so many facets to Battletech and finally comes a title that is willing to explore them.

Shadow Cat - Four textured variants

One of the most popular Clan Mechs, the Shadow Cat has finally received its textures. This week, we're presenting to you the four variants of this 45t war machine.
Before you start wondering: yes, the 'cockpit' is still very much WIP.

New assets

More life is coming to MWLL war zones... Check out these assets below, displayed on SA_ClearCut, but available on other maps, too. In case you're missing base defense walls, these are currently being reworked and the placeholders have been removed for these shots. Also, we hope you like the new waterfalls and river on SA_ClearCut.

Size comparison: MWLL Mechs and Crysis buildings

The two screenshots below illustrate a question that often arises: how big, compared to Crysis, are MWLL assets actually? As you can see on these shots, not even the smallest Mechs would fit into Crysis vehicle factories.

Any possibility of an Open Beta for playtesting? I know your videos still say Alpha or Pre-Alpha release but surely by the look of things you guys are pretty advanced in the development.

Anyhow, keep it up, this is a lot of work but it surely will be the best Total Conversion for Crysis by far! (cry) *badum tisss* XD

Thats a Warhammer, an Inner-sphere heavy mech armed with dual PPCs, several MGs, an SRM 6 pack on the shoulder and 3 lasers.
That one shown however i think has a PPC on the shoulder rather than the SRM 6

Man, I salute your dedication to the series, that's a better explanation then I ever could've come up with...but, it doesn't answer the question =\

Then again seriously, besides the creator(s) of the Battletech/Mech Warrior (forgive me if I'm mistaken but I believe they were/are the same source company) I don't think anyone can give you an honest answer.

But he's right (Renorick that is), it seriously does look like a Tomahawk lol.

Edit; for some reason the reply-reply I was replying to seems to have disappeared; if this is just a glitch I'm sorry but I figured I'd best just clear that up, looks funny on my screen having it replied to a reply that is empty.

Hey,

I'm a total Robotech Fan and remember Battletech Technical readouts from the 80s - 90s. I believe what you see Robotech related was a rip from the Robotech universe. Yep the Warhammer looks like a Tomahawk destroid. There is also another battletech mech called a marauder which looks exactly like the Zentraedi officers battlepod. To make matters worse there were a couple of light mechs with jumpjet capability that looked exactly like the various gen 1 Veritechs. I do believe Harmony Gold may have sued FASA at one point over the rips though.

Another bad move was the transformer Jetfire looking and transforming exactly like a gen 1 Veritech. I used to have the Technical Readout books with the sketches. I have also played the old boxed game and computer games set in the Mech Warrior universe.
