"Will you be a living legend or a forgotten casualty?"

By the 31st century, humanity has spread to thousands of worlds, while a handful of powerful empires wage continual war for the right to rule the stars. Foremost among the weapons used in that struggle are BattleMechs. Loaded with auto cannons, missile launchers, lasers, and charged-particle beam weapons, these fusion-powered war machines of articulated armor stand upward of ten meters high. Piloting them are MechWarrior’s, the best, most intensively trained men and women available. Like the armored knights of an earlier age, MechWarrior’s are popular heroes, and their exploits are the stuff of legends.

MechWarrior: Living Legends (MWLL) is a total conversion modification for Crysis. MWLL is at its very core a mix between a First Person Shooter (FPS) and a Simulation (SIM). This will be achieved through the use of a mixed arms massively multiplayer gaming experience where the player takes part in a battle using a variety of vehicles and weapons. MWLL is using the concepts pioneered by the “Battlefield” franchise and more recently Crysis, of a sandbox feel where you get to play what you want and how you want it. MWLL depicts the epic struggles between the two factions of Battletech “The Clans” and “The Inner Sphere”. Maps will typically have a mix of vehicles and infantry combat, using both of these to complete objectives as a team will be essential to winning rounds or campaigns in MWLL. In the project we will be bringing some of the legends of “MechWarrior” franchise back to life with new art and animations that do justice to these huge weapons of war and also do something that’s never be done before using the deep universe of Battletech. There are so many facets to Battletech and finally comes a title that is willing to explore them.

Major Features:

  • Massive, highly detailed outdoor environments.
  • Epic multiplayer missions that thrusts players into an ever-changing environment, forcing them to adapt their tactics and approach to conquer battlefields ranging from desert to tundra to alpine.

Four Variants: IS_Harasser

What used to be an extremely mobile and swift missile plattform, has now become a real weapons plattform: the Inner Sphere's Harasser. See below the four variants you'll find in the first public playable version of MWLL. The vehicle itself is undergoing extensive remodeling at this time, which is why the version in this screenshot does only have placeholder textures on.

Anyone who feels they can contribute to the team should put in a formal app on our 'join the team' section of our website at www.mechlivinglegends.net I don't feel however that we will be taking on any more level guys unless you are a master with sandbox2, you would have to wow us big time =/

As long as this game comes out before mechwarrior 5(aka next 2 years), Im happy.

I actually have more faith in this mod to be closer to the classic mechwarrior.
While I'm assuming that MW5, will channel off the success of the mechassult series, and unfortunately be dumbed down.

But frankly, I just want to play this game.

What's keeping me pissed of is the fact that i can see so many different maps and mechs, but instead of letting us play with them they just show the newest vid of it. So after MW 5 being anounced i would laugh so hard if this mod isn't released before the "real" game, even though it mighty be even better than it.

56er, slight reality check. Modern Warfare 2 showed a gameplay video that looks done, but you don' get to play it 'till November. God of War 3 showed a gameplay video that looks done, but you don't get to play THAT 'till next year. Preview videos are usually cherry-picked from available content to show what the end product should/could be, it doesn't mean that the whole product is ready to play. We are in no way slowing down or slacking off, but we're not going to release the beta until it is a full representation of our intended product, else the "beta" phase would be useless because nobody would really know the difference between a gameplay bug or a feature.

I'm totally stoked to check this out man. Especially since MW5 is being made for consoles as well so it's going to be dumbed down. Man I miss the old simulators that used every key on the keyboard and then some...
X-wing, Tie Fighter, Mech Warrior. Seriously when you guys get this thing ready for release throw up a paypal link and ill send 10 - 20 for the effort.
