MechWarrior: Living Legends is a total conversion mod for Crysis Wars turned standalone, mixing BattleTech's combined-arms warfare and universe with BattleField's vast open maps and domination style gameplay.
The "skull" on the face of the Atlas is just a different variant, a different "style" of atlas, it's called the AS7-D. This is a crazy model though... And i think i know why they went with a different head, vision... If there was that skull, it would probably interfere with the player's field of vision (That is, if the developers made it visible from the inside, like the cockpit shapes on all the other mechs, which are visible from the cockpit.)

I wonder, will stepping on powered armor or vehicles cause damage or possibly destroy the crushed vehicle?
