Release information news - Classic - Mass Effect Reborn mod for Homeworld 2

The private release of Mass Effect Reborn is coming (March 26th) so it's time for us to explain our respective ideas, our vision and our plans. First of all, we want to release a great 1.0. The truth is that we can't work too much on Mass Effect Reborn nowadays.
We did a lot of content and to innovate something which is already highly developed is difficult. In fact, we're proud about this release. It's not the 1.0 we expected (yeah, we all want to have a perfect release) but it's a decent and still amazing one. Anyway, it doesn't mean we don't know what we want to add in the further releases, don't worry about it.

We just want to release something great, something enjoyable. You want it isn't it like that ? Some testers were able to play it already and they love the way it runs. Simple, fluid, no FPS drop and so on... Indeed, for Mass Effect Reborn we did a complete new infrastructure. It means, we had to create a mod which enables us to add highly detailed ships. And it's a bet safe when you know that you can add mostly 15 reaper ships without lags (1 reaper ship is about 20k of polygons, first lod).

About the update system
The update feature is something great. All you need is to launch the mod via using its own launcher. There will be a news border to keep in touch with the latest news. For example, if an update is available, you will be able to see it without problem.

March 26th ? It's not the public release
No, as we said mostly one month ago. The private release is available for a restricted member of our fans in Moddb. They will be able to test the mod and send their respective impressions, reviews and bug reports. As far as we know, there are a few bugs in MER, but we all know that the game experience depends on the player itself !

Public Release date: April 9th
