So with the rapid progress we have been making the last several weeks, I wanted to do an update to show you and demonstrate exactly whats to be expected with this glorious upcoming release. I want to start by introducing ARC, I would elaborate further but she is perfectly capable of doing that herself.

ARC will be almost constantly communicating with you in-game giving you updates, and telling you of galactic events.

On to the asset updates. Cerberus is almost done in terms of ships. Since the last release we have added 3 more Capital ships to each faction, as well as replace all the stock ships left in Cerberus. Each ship in game has been given its own respective voice overs courtesy of MEDiscovery who has been working overtime to help get Cerberus done! I spent two weeks updating all the skins on the Cerberus ships to better emulate the ones seen in Mass Effect. Included below are some simple before/afters for two of the ships that have undergone the update process.


With new bloom shaders that we have been provided the ships now have that pop that has been missing for so long.

Included below is a small playthrough/Interview I did with Gul_Dukat of SA3 that includes A LOT of the changes that will be included the following update.

I was just thinking on a few things though after playing through the series again. I would love to see you guys maybe have some planetary bonuses that reflect the planetary codex entries such as high gravity, bad weather or what I was personally thinking of, being too close to the terminus systems thus giving a large negative bonus to population. (Think virmire).

I think it would also be cool if you guys worked in some nods to some of the in game corporations such as ERC and others.

Last thought, after you guys finish all your work on the main three factions, I thought it would be awesome if instead of the pirates just being batarians, having the pirates be the terminus systems. You could work to flesh the pirates out as almost a 4th (unplayable) faction. Where the batarians could be the main force but you could have some other pirate ships too. It'd be cool for playing a match with the council, maybe cerberus and just try to expand with a very large terminus systems presence.

There are already have quite a few ideas on (lore-friendly) planetary bonuses. You need not worry that we would forget about that. You can make some suggestions on the forums concerning the above. The more the better!

Will do. In fact, the Volus Dreadnought has the Elkoss Combine Logo on it :). Also, some of the Council research trees are are going to involve the corporations war effort.

The pirates are the mercenary gangs (the Blue Suns, Eclipse and Blood pack) not the Batarians. The Batarians are the local militia found on un-colonized (by the main faction, that is) planets.

Oh yeah, I remember reading that now. Well thats very cool. I was just thinking yesterday how awesome it would be trying to play a map where I'm trying to expand but trying to not **** off the pirates of the terminus systems or trying to carefully work with the terminus systems to help against the reapers or cerberus.
