The reapers have returned from dark space. With Earth under attack and the mass relays in a state of chaos from refugees and the councils fleet engaging reaper forces the galaxy is a mess. The outcome is unknown, the warfare is devastating. The galaxy will never be the same.

I think the Reapers did. Not sure.
Fleets were: Destiny Ascension
22Turian dreads
136 Turian frigates
146 Alliance cruisers
11 Asari cruisers
Against 32 Reapers
They are just estimates but yeah. Huge battles. Running smoothly.

Sorry no the council did. Only with a handful of ships. It all really depends on tactics. Hoe you position your flee; are they grouped, attacking one target, did they exit ftl at the same time, did they get the drop on the enemy. This all contribute to the outcome.

I like those tactics... good to know the ascencion was not lost for nothing.

Yeah so as an example 16 cruisers can destroy a Reaper while losing 8 if they attack all together and in concert while if they aren't ordered to travel together, attack at the same time etc they will all be destroyed.

Sorta the same with Vannila Sins - only on a much larger and unquestionably more epic scale?

Are they more effective when focusing on one target or no?

Well as I stated before, grouping and attacking in concert can win the battle with moderate casualties but if not then you will surely loose it. Not necessarily focusing fire on one target.

Id recommend buying SoaSE Rebellion and playing it anyway - it is a really great game, and it takes some time to get used to the mechanics and the gameplay.
It's only like $40 on steam.

(buried)

Don't do it havoc, without a mod rebellion should burn in a fiery pit full of lava and radioactive piranhas

The ships still seem pretty close for engaging in combat range. Are you guys adjusting that so ships can attack at a farther range?

It's still a WIP. Expect more changes as development continues also this was about halfway through the battle and ships were moving about acquiring new targets changing position etc which brought them into closer range also the camera angle may have something to answer for.

Description

Got some more ships in the action. Majority of the coding is done. Now it tuning time and testing. Trying to get the feel and look of Mass Effect. New colours for Mass Accelerator rounds, new effects, some hardpointing done by Lord_Set (the almighty modder) and some other things that I've probably forgotten to mention. Enjoy. More to come.
