The reapers have returned from dark space. With Earth under attack and the mass relays in a state of chaos from refugees and the councils fleet engaging reaper forces the galaxy is a mess. The outcome is unknown, the warfare is devastating. The galaxy will never be the same.

The model is good, actually. But didn't you say that the Crucible won't be added a few months ago? Not that I have any problems with it, though.

What purpose would this serve in the game? A superweapon?

Not sure yet what role it will play exactly. It will do something.

So it's not going to be giant disco ball? That's a relief :D

A suggestion: why not make it a giant EMP pulse generator/ cannon? It will disable every ship and structure on the targeted planets gravity well's for a good amount of time?

I like this idea:
A BFG that messes with everything that it's close.
Build it, move it into target, activate and get the ***** out!

It'd be a good super-weapon. It could be astronomically expensive to build and take forever to finish but once it is finished it could either do essentially what it did in ME3 and end the game or it could simply be a reaper killer as in similar to some of the super-weapons from vanilla sins where it can target enemy planets and either damage the planet, the infrastructure in orbit, or the enemy ships in orbit.

It would be cool if you could some how mod in a new game mode (I have no idea if this is even possible or how it would be done) where the Reapers are essentially unstoppable. They are coming in force and being built fast and cheap and the only way for the Citadel races to win is to build the crucible which will cause the game to be won by the council races yada yada lol. (I think it sounded cooler in my head haha)

I just have to ask, did you plan to have the crucible in the mod or did you pick it up from the mod forum site? :)

"They've gone into glitter ball mode" Robot chicken reference lol.

BTW Love the model so far, I think it could be like a super weapon that coverts all reapers in a certain area to become friendlies for a limited amount of time.

I think a nifty idea would be having a research tree specifically for this, whether it's possible or not is something else entirely, perhaps it can be like the Titan shipyard or the Titan ship itself which needs to go through a research tree for it to be completed :o Just an idea!

This is very possible, in fact, it would be fairly easy to do.

This will mostly be a follow up to indoctrination as an end of the tech solution. Not going to be the fun loving colorful explosion .

Time for a "Capture the Catalyst" gamemode.

First team to capture the device spawned in a random location and retrieve it to the Crucible will have to defend it for 2 minutes.

The object carrier can be taken over by any faction at any given time.
On destruction it will respawn in a different random location.
The object can be destroyed during the 2 minute priming by shooting the Crucible, dealing enough damage to the object.

-Optional- If the Crucible Sector is being dominated (atleast 5 high grade ships set to defense mode in mentioned area) by a faction possesing the object, the priming time should get added by 30 seconds for game ballance.

After that period of time is over, the Crucible will pulverize the enemy team.

Good idea, but 2 minutes is too short something like 10 minutes is more suitable for a strategy game and SoasE to be more accurate.

I never played this genre of games so I tought it's fast paced and 2 would be enough.

SoasE is fast paced? It take me half a days just to finish one skirmish in a medium map. SoasE in one of the most time consuming space RTS out there.

Perhaps an Idea for a Cerberus Super-weapon could be some sort of weapon that instead of killing reapers, can capture them (and it can capture other ships for when you are not fighting reapers), although it would take an insane amount of time and resources to build and an insane recharge time (like 10-15 minute recharge), just an idea, just came up with it while reading a few comments.

The Codex entry for the Crucible made it sound like a sort of mass effect cannon that could hurl things at relay speeds with phenomenal accuracy. Maybe that could be what the Crucible does here? Hurls an asteroid or something? Effectively a giant sniper that can target capital ships and titans and deal phenomenal damage to them.

I like your idea for a Cerberus super weapon Nanopizza, but what use would that be against the Alliance/Council?
