If i remember correctly he said that adding OST will cause copyright problems and of course if that happens then the mod will most likely be disabled.
Something none of us want to happen.

I was not sure, that's why i asked. Also i'm not afraid of the copyright crap so i'll just make the sound for this mod with ME musis, i have done it before with other mods i liked.

As long as the mod is none profit and you get artist permission then using the soundtrack would be completely fine.
As for distributing it as an optional download like Sanguinis said it would be the same case. Although the chances of a copyright holder finding out are slimmer.

I'm looking at it on a 2560 * 1440 Monitor, and I can kinda see what he's talking about. The ships skins when compared to the skybox come across as a bit low res. A some of the shader effects that the higher options enable being applied to the ships would probably help with that - though I think that has to be partially set up in the modelling or something.

Really, it isn't a big deal, and its not that noticeable, but I can tell what he's talking about.

Unikraken is somewhat correct, though I think Sins takes good screenshots personally.

The difference is screenshots in SOASE are NOT renders. To understand why they aren't comparable to a render, you need to google DDS, lossy formats, and mipmaps. These affect the quality and level of detail that is displayed at various zoom points. In regards to higher options, the only higher I can go is with anti-aliasing and that tends to add white dots to models in Sins on my video card.

Then there is the other aspect of how light sources (Sun) and skyboxes interact with the tangent, specular, and reflective texture maps...

I obviously agree with you, I don't think it's a big deal with the perceived blurry. Unfortunately some people like to be overly critical for whatever reason. On the other hand your reply unlike the previous contained complete sentences without any hint of sarcasm ;)

Yeah, I agree with everything you've said.
the one time I've had Sins not take a good screenshot was with my previous background, which I took on my 1280*800 Monitor, then moved onto the 2560*1440. Now THAT appeared blurry. Fixed that now though :D.

And Reaper_Armada: Agreed, the textures are great, and a lot of work has gone into them. They are better than a lot of people I know could accomplish. At the same time, I will stand by my statement that they look a little low-res compared to the rest of the textures in Sins, partially due to the lack of Shader effects on them compared to, say, The VLT.
I also stand by my final statement that its not a big deal, and its not too noticeable anyway.
