The reapers have returned from dark space. With Earth under attack and the mass relays in a state of chaos from refugees and the councils fleet engaging reaper forces the galaxy is a mess. The outcome is unknown, the warfare is devastating. The galaxy will never be the same.

What if we have model 1, but before it fires, it extends the cannon, like number 2 or 3?
Is that possible?

interesting idea, but animation in SINS is a bitch and would just add to the development tome

I see... And I agree, you are in full development of the mod, use time in making a non-vital animation is waste.

Maybe after the mod is finished you can add it as a patch, anyway, my vote goes for N°1. For a strange reason, the other 2 options look very breakable for me XD

Two it looks deadly and the longer barrel relays that also symmetry matter in space if something has to move and the recoil of the weapon would make it so it would need repositioning every so often so symmetry is needed.

no mass in space ergo no drag isn't it? Presumably it'd need repositioning every time it chose a target regardless

Yes maybe but if you don't want it slamming into a planet I would suggest adding thrusters to it (at least as decoration)

either way a longer barrel means more accelerators, ergo more range.

There is still mass in space and the center of mass is the center point for the degrees of freedom. If it was asymmetrical than it would rotate around that point from the recoil and would have to constantly be repositioned.

1 is by far the best looking. The other two are fine, but to be honest they look more like something I'd expect to see in a mech anime than in the Mass Effect universe. The first also just looks more Cerberus-ey to me.

3 because it has almost a duel barrel, it just brings that kind of power to mind with the larger barrel. Nvm 1 FTW

can't pick been twin 1, and 2
1 seems the peer fire power that Cerberus would no doubt want
2 seems like the more elegant side with Cerberus sparing no expense on it's creation.

SenjiBen May 13 2013, 4:59pm says:

Definitely a number 3 for me. The asymmetry just does it, and I like the length. 3 just looks like a true space station, which you'd need for a cannon that size. Still, whatever you choose, nice work!

I think 1 is the best, the rest have their barrels too long. In addition, just like the rest of the ships in Mass effect, the structure is designed/wrapped around the main weapon, thus fits best in its Mass Effect setting.

So, #2 for terms of scale,

#1 in terms of practical-ness.

Okay, Ending the voting now. I think we've got the general tendency.
From a glance it seems like 1 won with 2 second (Oh punny).
I'll probably be making a merged Concept of 1 and 2. I'll lengthen 1's barrel (It'll be a straight barrel, not that curved barrel seen in design 2 and 3). Also, it seems the majority wants a symmetrical design as apposed to the asymmetrical Concept 3?
This is how the Merged concept looks so far (without any wings):
Don't worry about it being bland or undetailed as when Skyline models and textures it he'll add all the little details (besides, I suck at texturing).

Downvote this comment if you want Concept 1's wings on the merged Concept and Upvote it if you want Concept 3's wings.

These are the three final designs of the C.A.R.E. Package cannon. Go ahead and state which design is your favourite, and if you wish also state why you prefer that design. As you may notice, Concept 1 has a shortened barrel, Concept 2 is the standard concept and Concept 3 is the asymmetrical version of the concept. Please don't state your favourite concept more than once, as I'll be checking which concept gets the most support. I've set up an actual poll on the forums if you'd prefer to vote there (or both).
