The reapers have returned from dark space. With Earth under attack and the mass relays in a state of chaos from refugees and the councils fleet engaging reaper forces the galaxy is a mess. The outcome is unknown, the warfare is devastating. The galaxy will never be the same.

It's actually cool to see the concept of carrier vs battleship come into play in a universe such as ME. Sure, Dreadnoughts are capable of dishing out tons of pain for anyone who gets in their way but they're also easy targets for the Reapers. Fighters, however, can arguably do a more effective job than Dreads given that they can swarm a target and let loose with those disruptor torpedoes of theirs, while their carrier stays out of harms way in the rear.
Death by a thousand cuts, if you will.
All this makes me more excited to play this awesome mod :D

The same may pertain for frigates like our beloved SR1 (Maybe 2 too, not sure, since SR2 was way bigger.). In ME1 we saw how the SR1 dodges shots from bigger ships.
Just questionable if this can be implemented in this mod or if Lord_Set even gives a f*** 'bout it. *g*

I was talking about something similar recently. Dynamic movement will happen with the smaller ships, but literally dodging shots from other vessels won't be possible (although with luck the ship zipping around will make it look like it's dodging)

You can actually change game constants which allows you to adjust the amount of damage deducted from ships due to sizes, maneuverability etc.

According to the Codex, that seems unfortunately not going to work...
fighter are therefore equipped with disruptor torpedoes but they serve first and foremost to neutralize the shields.
Turn off the enemy Capitalships is still the task of own Cruiser/Frigates.

In principle, the effect of the Fighter is rather comparable with the passive abilities of the Corvettes of Rebellion — that is they weaknesses with their attacks subsystems (in the case of the shields) of larger vessels!

But I think that the fighter (bomber)in DotR work rather like the bomber in SoaSE.

According to the codex, fighters in the mass effect universe attack larger ships (like bombers in the vanilla game) and interceptors target fighters (like fighters in the vanilla game).
So how will fighters and interceptors be implemented? It would be confusing to go from using bombers in the vanilla game to attack a capital ship to using fighters.

I don't think I understood entirely what you said so I will explain how they will work. Its the same principle but just with different names. Interceptors will be fighters and fighters will be bombers. Interceptors will target enemy fighters and interceptors. Fighters will target bigger ships with disruptor torpedoes
