Taking Doom³ PVE (Coop) and PVP (Deathmatch) multiplayer combat to the next level and beyond...
D3 MCS: Mars City Security is a Doom3 Modification that puts heavy emphasis on cooperative and adversarial multiplayer, merging the fast and addictive gameplay of the predecessors (Doom1 & Doom2) with the enhanced Doom3 technology (optimized netcode for Online Internet & LAN networked multiplayer with improved idtech4 unified rendering).
The “Campaign” PVE (Coop) gametype lets players play through default & custom created campaign missions with other players cooperatively. Experience community made custom maps with your friends that tell stories never before experienced in the Doom³ universe.
The “DemonWars” PVE (Coop) gametype throws players right into the epic battle that broke out throughout the entire solar system after hell has been unleashed. Fight as a human with other players cooperatively against the hordes of hell trying to make a last stand for mankind.
The PVP (Deathmatch) gametype lets players fight it out adversarially on a variety of arenas for the ultimate player versus player domination in “team” and “free for all” PVP multiplayer.

we would like to thank everyone for the amazing online PVE & PVP matches during and after the release of MCS version 1.2.1.8, helping us stress-test this build worldwide in all its glory.
All that positive feedback from community members and new players alike, confirmed our dedication in having spent all the time and resources to bring MCS to its current state.
Special thanks go out to the modDB staff members, who were always very supportive throughout the development and "man!" were we positively surprised to win the editors choice award for the best multiplayer Mod 2015. That truly was the icing on the cake after the public release !
Big thanks also go out to the reviewers here on moddb.com giving MCS such positive review-scores.
We currently are still taking a break from the major effort to get MCS released but we plan to come back with fresh energy to start the work on patches and new features for MCS.

Fantastic and fun multiplayer mod with coop and all normal multiplayer modes, on a game that add almost no multiplayer at all, and a very basic net code, is to prove that talent is the more important aspect on the quality of a game/mod not the game or engine where you make it.

Hey, I saw on your YouTube channel a gameplay video on v1.2.2.8 but here I only see uploaded the v1.2.1.8. Hasn't it been released yet?
Thanks in advance and keep up the good work!
It's likely you saw footage of the still internally developed version on youtube and you assume correctly that this version has not yet been publicly released as we still work on it.
How many players can play the campaign together? 4?
up to 8 players
Awesome work! A few recommendations: It doesn't look like all of the single player campaign maps are available to play? I would recommend adding all of them and making the map list more readable with their names (ex: Mars City, Mars City 2, etc.) in order how the campaign is. Would also like to see the Railgun have the rail effects similar to how it has them in Quake (or improved). Also agree with the comment below about adding the Double Barrel Shotgun from ROE.

How about to move the modification on Doom 3 BFG edition ? Now when created is open source engine RBDoom, it's more possible or not ?
Does this have stuff from Resurrection of evil?
That's a negative... for now we try to stick to the lowest common denominator... which in this case is the stock Doom3 1.3.1 base installation...
But what if you just add RoE boomstick? And Q4 railgun?
It has the Quake 3 Railgun so there is no need to add the Quake 4 version.
It was my comment, JFYI
