Marine Doom Fan Remake mod

HEY YOU! READ THIS BEFORE YOU DOWNLOAD THE GARBAGE I MADE 2 YEARS AGO!

Now that I got your attention, read this:

So in 2016 when I was just a wide-eyed, snot nosed wank who didn't know the first thing about making Doom wads I made this. It's supposed to be a "remake" of that weird old wad that the U.S. marines made to train troops called Marine Doom, and if you've never played that all you need to know is that it's shit.

My bright idea was to turn Marine Doom into something playable, but I only had a very loose idea on how to make anything for Doom. All the experience I had was downloading things off Realm 667 and dropping them into Slade 3 and loosely getting an idea on how the code worked.

So over the coarse of like 2 weeks, maybe 1, I don't remember, I constructed this "remake". It's not even a remake really, at some point I guess I just decided to do my own thing and just focus on making the most linear map ever because I didn't understand what made Doom maps fun. And I went all in with this for some reason, I even put in deathmatch spawns in the room where you can't see anything. Along with that, I put a single zombieman in the ceiling and never fixed it, so good luck getting 100% Kills.

What's really weird though is that some guy made a video about my mod, which he must have since deleted because I can't find it anymore. The video was just him playing through the map with no commentary and in the description he said he liked the map. Then and there I got a massive ego boost even though people in the comments said that the map had shit design (which I agree with now). And for a small while I thought pretty highly of myself until I didn't anymore.

After that, about a year ago now I started thinking about deleting my wad off the face of the internet because I realized it was garbage. But I was like "nah, I'll just let it fester in the back of my mind until it burns a hole through my brain." After that: blah blah blah get reunited with my half brother blah blah blah get dumped by some chick blah blah blah realize everyone on one side of my family doesn't take me seriously blah blah blah the family owned business goes under so now we have to get real jobs blah blah blah and now where here. It's 2 o'clock in the morning and I've decided (spur of the moment) to write this.

Pretty much all I'm trying to say here is...

This map is garbage left outside in the middle of a summer day.

As for the download itself, I decided to leave it up because fuck it. Hope you have fun.
