Building on the realistic, tactical game play that made Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 a fan favourite, Mare Nostrum lets players battle it out in an all new setting. Featuring British, Australian, German and Italian nations, choose from a range of authentic weaponry or crew one of 10 fully realised vehicles. With 8 different battle environments the game play is varied from gritty street to street fighting in urban surroundings to all out tank warfare in the open desert. This is North Africa, but not like you have seen it before.

This month we bring you news that we reached the top 100 in the Mod of the Year awards along with previews of our brand new Italian content. We also divulge just exactly what we have installed for our next release!

Hello once again to all of you and welcome to our first news update in 2009. Thanks to all of you who voted for us in this years ModDB 2008 Mod of The Year Awards. We made it into the top 100 mods of the year in 2007 and we are happy to report we did again so this year. We look forward to seeing all the fantastic mods that made it into the winner's showcase, which will be announced later this month.

Apologies for the lack of any news lately but fear not, the team has been working away behind the scenes and Mare Nostrum is buzzing with activity! This month we have released another Tunis Telegraph which has a strong Italian theme, and we're really pleased to be able to show off some of the new Italian content we've been working on.

In particular, we shall be introducing you to the M13, M14 and M15 tanks along with the Semovente 75/18 as well as a number of additions to the Italian infantrymen's arsenal. We also include news on exactly what we are planning for 1.4, so read on to find out what is happening in the world of Mare Nostrum.
