Manhack Attack is a mod all about surviving. You will face the rather unusual enemy, IN THOUSANDS. Yes you guessed right, the Manhack. You will fight in loads of different environments with good and natural looking maps. I will not change much weapons, since this takes place in the Half Life 2 universe. I will make some basic reskins though. This is a oneman project, and im already at a good start, with 3 maps at 95-99% completion.
The maps so far:
Arena - 98%
Forest - 95%
Egypt - 95%
These maps are very small, with lots of intense Manhack destruction!

The weapons:
You start with the normal SMG1, a Pistol and a Crowbar. Shotgun can be found rarely. At your spawn you have a crate with infinite SMG1 ammo. So dont worry about that!

Map suggestions would be much appreciated.

A little note!

Hello guys! Just to inform you, this is a one-man project, but applications are welcome. This mod aims to be small and fun, but still challenging. I guess you could play this if you want to "release some anger". This is pure destruction and survival in one little mod.

Expect some more media in the nearest days.

That egypt map and whole "run around in circles and shoot rushing enemies" reminds me of Serious Sam.

It sounds cool, I like the idea, but I HATE MANHACKS. They are annoying as hell. At least please relace that GOD DAMN HUMMING SOUND! It makes me wanna smash my speakers to bits.

The way you could actually make this interesting is not only use manhacks, but different enemies for different maps. Perhaps a multiplayer option, and some sort of system where the more manhacks you killed, the more money you got, and the more new guns, health, and turrets you could buy. Perhaps even barricade systems against the enemies.

What Im basically saying is that what you are presently doing is nothing more than a killbox, and needs some stuff to make it really fun. Just some ideas for ya :D

Ehhmm, well I don't really know how to say this politely, but this mod is not really for the public. It's a good practice for triggers and mapping, but doesn't goes as a portfolio game, because these are just small maps with basic scripts/codes, etc. With my little knowledge, I can make an orange map and put some enemies there to fight with, I don't need a mod for that.

Also from my personal HL2 experience: I HATE manhacks!
And fighting with manhacks doesn't "release some anger" for me, it just makes me more f***ing angry. Counter me if you love fighting against these annoying robots, but I doubt that most of the community here love to have a battle against these nuisances.

So for me, this mod doesn't fill up any gaps or empty space amongst the mods, it's just a good practice for you, but a waste of time for us.

I agree, i hated fighting manhacks. i'll agree that, in certin mods they are fun ( or take the manhack weapon/gameplay mechanic in human error, thats fun), but if your just fighting them it will get very boring.

I not being negative, criticism is not about puffing and glorifying your work. That's what the simple souls here are for, who will probably write something like "Woah, great work, tracking" without thinking too much ahead. All the other people with a bit of critical sense will write there opinion the same fashion as me. Not picking out the good parts, only telling where are the bad ones are, but that doesn't mean that there aren't any good ones.

But just for you, some of your mapping is pretty good besides that they are simple, and there are some good amount of details here and there. The problem is that concept is not original, not entertaining and can get boring really quick, so it shouldn't be a mod, or prepare for a really low community rating this way.

I could do some mapping for you if you want, i'm a noob at it so I can only get better, if you want me to convert a HL2 map or something for it.
