That red floor fits so well with the white walls. People knew how to make the simplest of things beautiful back in the days.

I believe your mod will get me (us) to know the ship better than any documentary ever did.

I think 3rd class is usually depicted worse than it actually was. Although their fate was somewhat debatable, they were still paying passengers and were still treated as such. They had stewards, multiple meals a day and basic facilities that some folks couldn't even afford at home.
In fact, The Ship Magnificent book also mentions that they had a 3 course dinner which was unheard of for most of them. So plenty of 3rd class passengers would have left the dining room after the first course, thinking that was the whole meal.

True. Not to mention that these steam-liners were mainly build to transport these folks across the seas, rather than the rich ones. As such, the company offered more than the basics.

Keep it up mate!

Description

I love the smell of progress in the evening. The 3rd class Aft area has been finished! What I like about this area opposed to the other classes is that it has more of a ship vibe to it. As you can see, the shape of the hull starts to become very noticeable. When you think it cannot become further slanted, one deck above the hull folds horizontal even further, making the bulkhead resemble more of a floor rather than a wall.

Fun fact, according to the Ship Magnificent books, most people at 3rd class had never used or even seen a bathroom as facilitated onboard in their entire lives. This area may look simplistic, but for them it was quite luxurious. This unknown luxury however, resulted in passengers occasionally seeking a secluded corridor like this one to relieve themselves instead, making stewards have to clean it up the next morning. Just imagine that smell.
