Highlights Rebellion (Release 8) 28/06/2014

* Updated to new patch, v1.82
* Bug fixes (see below)

* Norlamins ... fixed description for "Capital ship labs" researches, to distinguish which
research will enable Military labs or Civilian labs
* Replicators ... "Advanced Launchers" research available with two ties of Basic Launchers research.

Graphics
* Replicators ... fixed tradeship and refinery ship hub icons
* Replicators ... fixed mines textures
* Varsai ... fixed Titan team mesh color
* Trade Alliance ... fixed planet bombing particle effects

Balance
* Replicators ... reduced the firepower of Replicators Tractor and Thumper Defense platforms
* New Races ... modified Racial Inclination and Faction Relations between Races and Factions

Abilities
* Norlamins ... Urvanian light frigates gets shield regenerate ability
* Norlamins ... fixed Defense Platform "Disruptor force" ability, also included tiered Research
* Norlamins ... Titan ... fixed ability position mix up ... total control <-> mind dampening
* Norlamins ... upgrades for cosmic ray collector enhance all of the collectors abilities
* Replicators ... added explicit ability and research "Grav Tractor" to the Defense Platform
* Trade Alliance ... fixed Defense Platform ability "Augmented Defense"

Other
* Trade Alliance ... fixed diplomatic stats reporting
* New Races ... fixed quick start, i.e light frigates for new races
* New Races ... fixed an number of descriptions
* New Races ... increased the name pool of Capitalships and Starbases for all new races

Apologies
* Haven't done much work of the Pirate race and so they are still very basic
* Haven't found bug with Pirate race

Absolutely awesome mod. I just discovered this place a few days ago. Good to see there is still a lot of support out there for this awesome game. I've had a great time with this mod excepting one fact.....I can't finish a game. I've tried four different times and each time it crashed on me. I'm not sure what the problem is. Ive tried everything I know. It crashed at different times as well. Once I made it bout 7 hrs in before it ate it. And suggestions out there anyone??

Im sorry SoASE. I think I found the answer on another comment. I was unaware of the 2gb Ram issue. I'm pretty sure that's what it was. Ill try fixing that and see if it works

What the- the pirate corsairs armor is 27! The conquerors is 32! How am I suppose to kill that with any fleet? The Norlamins even have a hard time killing the SoB's. The pirates are way, WAY too strong. I've got 3 TEC dreadnoughts, I'll level them up to supers and see if that works...

Level 4 conqueror weapons deal 200+ damage... this... is insane... It can go head to head with a dreadnought of the same level and kill it... I believe the pirates need a complete stat overhaul...

That's the problem, I've fought them while being alliance and still got my arse whooped. There's no way to kill the main pirate base, and if it's in the way of your original colonies, you're screwed, you might just wanna restart the game and hope the computer has to deal with it because the computer will never win. Seriously, you get in a big fight them, you know, 20 level 1 conquerers (or hell, 10) doesn't seem too bad, then you actually start fighting them... The deaths of support ships and fighters/bombers gets their levels up... once they reach level two, you're screwed, just fall back... level 3... just reload the game and avoid them... I had a full fleet, 2 fully leveled dreadnoughts, maxed out cap ships, and full fleet of support ships, and got soooooo screwed... The pirates need a serious fix... too much armor and too much firepower...

It's alright when the conquerors are at level 1 or 2, but when they get to level 3 their weapons start dealing waaaayyyy too high of damage and they take far less damage, and some of the raids have far too numerous capital ships, one raid was composed of about 23 conquerors. THAT is insane

The pirates tough at the start. You need some good ships to take them on. By the mid-end of game they just irritate.
If you don't like the expanded pirates or asteroids then play the standard series.

Liking the new tech tree however so far i have played a game as norlamins and replicators on malestrom map on highest graphics and no other mods and it crashed to desktop round 30 mins in each time
Also the ship tetures for these races don't seem very/ at all detailed and i personally think the dreadnoughts look a bit pants.
Gettin a mineral planet is pretty damn good though!
Also those asteroids are fooookin annoying! please get rid of them they are ridiculously overpowered

Fleets will be reworked in a coming release.

If you don't like the asteroids play the standard series.
