The Maelstrom Mod introduces four new races to the Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion Universe. They are independent of the original races and have unique strengths and weaknesses. Maelstrom is available for Rebellion, Diplomacy, Entrenchment and Original Sins.
Expansion Series - includes a new Flagship of the Titan class. This ship is massive but slow, only a single Titan ship can be in-play at one time. There is also a Capitalship known as a Dreadnought, a very large and powerful Capitalship that once at level six or beyond can be upgraded into a Super-Dreadnought. Dreadnought's are automatically and repeatedly built by a special factory ... only one unique factory is made available for each player at the start of the game. Also included in the expansion series are more aggressive Pirates capable of colonizing. Finally beware of dangerous asteroids which fill the gravity well of various planets, they can severely damage fleets through collisions.
Unexpected, but EPIC.
Thanks
Why is it that when I activate the mod, the main menu loses it's options?
It looks really plain
You don't see buttons like multiplayer, singleplayer, exit, play diplomacy, options, and the buttons there. Can someone explain to me why is it like this?
"Can someone explain to me why is it like this?"
Yes, just use/update to the right patch for Entrenchment i.e 1.053
But it's already on 1.053 before I activated the mod.
What is your video card and have you got the latest drives?
I am really excited to play this but it keeps crashing. I have adjusted all the settings as per the settings for smooth gaming but after 10 minutes of play it always crashes. My system is plenty powerful enough to handle with a 1 GB 6850 card. Any ideas how to resolve??
Many thanks for all your hard work!
Some suggestions
1. make sure you have the latest drivers for your video card.
2. turn off any programs that might be running in the back ground that could be memory hogs (press 'CTRL+ALT+DEL' and it will open up the task manger and you can see how much memory of processing power each program/process takes)
3. turn down the graphic effects settings further, starting with the 'bump' settings (to say low)
I will try this. Apart from Bump settings any other possible culprits, e.g. Anti-Aliasing?
Not that I'm aware off.
