Story:
Andromeda Laboratories, 2025; Unknown to the public the United States government funded a biological and weapons maker known as Andromeda Industries. Andromeda Industries created everything for the US government from firearms to highly advance missile guidance systems to biological weapons. Following the success of there inventions for the US government, Andromeda Industries received trillions of dollars to open up a new research and development group to redefine the means of physiological warfare against the enemies of the United States. By 2028, Andromeda Laboratories created a device that could teleport subjects into an alternate reality suspending subjects into their own subconscious mind. The device was nicknamed "Mad World".

Secretly executives of Andromeda Industries decided to test their creation on their own people, people of lesser importance to the company. One by one lower end employees began to disappear within the company. Official word from the CEO and President of Andromeda Industries stated that the company needed to make major cutbacks. People began to question the reasoning behind the ongoing statements from the CEO and President of the company. Those who questioned them soon ended up like the others.

In the coming days Mad World will be complete and the enemies of the United States are about to experience madness like no other. But before it can be tested on the battlefield, one more test subject needs to be tested; designer and creator of the Mad World device, Doctor William H. Wells, former top research and development scientist at the Black Mesa Research Facility.

"The great proof of madness is the disproportion of one's designs to one's means."

Great mod! One thing, the music in the game, it's great and suits it very well. But the files themselves should be 128kbps mp3's instead of wav files, you'd cut the download size ALOT.

Truly Awful...and that's just the first world.

Major problems:

1 - It requires prior knowledge of some other system (IE the BIBLE) I knew a fair few of the deadly sins but I had to google a couple, I shouldn't need to google to play a game, puzzles should require intellect and problem solving skills not pre-prepared knowledge to complete.
2 - Part way through world 1 I was faced with a turn off to my right, even though until now I had always gone straight ahead on my chosen path, this caused my instant death
3 - Later in world 1 I had a turn off to my left or right, with no direction as to where I should go, I met instant death
4 - Can't get into world 4, even following the instructions from other comments, had to change maps using the console
5 - World 2 again suffered from requiring prior knowledge, and to be honest by the end of a lengthy trial and error I could not off the top of my head think what I'd spelled or gotten an anagram of.
6 - The next world asked me quite a lot of maths questions, they were fairly obvious in areas, so that's kind of ok, but a couple would've required a calculator for the average man, this breaks gameplay flow.
7 - when I change my resolution the title background is from the lost coast ;p
8 - World 1's music was so terrible I ha to mute it, it really was a bad song, even worse when ti looped.
9 - World 4 was just a maze where you wandered close to walls to see if they broke, essentially meaning it was just a big long game of trial and error, because world 1's song was so terrible I wasn't sure if the writing on the walls was meant to mean something.

Really needs some work, I wouldn't even say it was technically strong, it's just a blank white maze with some custom music and some triggered instadeaths.

The game was amazing. I think of myself as more of a run-and-gun type of guy but this was an awesome break. I took notes on pieces of paper and even wrote down the entire dialogue for the characters at the end level! I didn't see how you were supposed to figure out the paths to go on Part 1 so it was all trial and error. Part 2 was the same until I had Google'd it and found out the characters that give you the right path are another name for Jehova. Part 3 took me a while to get - it's all math! Part 4 was a lot of running around, I had gotten everywhere possible and was frustrated! In the end I ran past the beginning door. I thought that may have been where I needed to go but I didn't want to take the chance of being kicked out when I was that far. I saved the game, ran through the door, and all of a sudden, "The wind began to howl." ;)

Awesome mod, 10/10 but just fix the bug where the game does not go straight to Chapter 4 after beating Chapter 3.
