The L.U.R.K. team wants to provide the best possible experience from Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl, we don't plan to skew the scope of this game, because I, like many others, fell in love with the game because of the story, the realistic gameplay, and the atmosphere. I plan to preserve and improve on that concept to the best of my abilities, and our team has vowed to do so as well. Which is why we took it upon ourselves to provide that experience. We want to fulfill a niche that's otherwise unfulfilled in the modding community. We want to bring as many features to Stalker without damaging or changing the original theme of the game. While improving upon that concept with features that were dropped off the development cycle from GSC, such as stealth AI, and a strong foundation for balance, as well as dynamic A-Life, and an unprecedented visual presentation that no other Stalker Overhaul can touch.

Not at least at the moment, there's no rear sight model plus there's a huge-*** shadow under the scope :P

Yea, it might be fixed if I can get the source files from him and make an iron sight myself but I can't promise anything, haha.

How many new weapons total will there be?
I'm actually dissapointed we will have such expensive and somewhat rare modern weapons in STALKER, ruins the grittyness and raw feel of the game imho.
because the LR300s in vanilla made a lot of sense
Crappy model and texture made people think the weapon platform dated from the 1990's lol.
Also, when will we see those guns being revamped? I mean, these new ones aren't replacements IIRC. I'd love to see a new LR300, in matter of fact, I have a few models lying around already! I do know you're a man of authenticity and might want to do it yourself, but the offer stands :D
The G-36, F2000 and a gauss rifle were in vanilla, I think an L96 fits fine.
Mercenaries came into the Zone, too. One of the (arguably) best perks of mercenary work is being able to bring your own gear to work as opposed to dealing with government issued crap.
You won't be seeing an L96 on every other enemy, though. It will remain ultra-rare.
