LuminousForts is an open source Source engine modification that is the continuation of the popular, but discontinued SourceForts modification. It is coded from scratch on the Source SDK 2007 engine. Come by and say hi on the forums!

Since we stopped development a few months ago, we're releasing the LuminousForts source code. Though it has always been available, this is a really simple to use copy of it. To modify and run the code, you need LuminousForts installed and Visual Express C++ 2010 or Visual Studio 2010. It's that simple.
The game can play all of the Sourceforts maps out of the box and actually has a lot in it. There are a few gamemodes and other fun things.

I was told to introduce myself, so yea im a programmer and im really interested in making mods and this looks great, so if i can help out, that would be great.

hey Raxsta, you were 3 days too late : D. I quit the mod. I was the programmer. People are looking for someone to take over the mod, if you want it, private message me on the LuminousForts forums.
Hope this turns out well... i was sad when source forts died out so please bring it back... the Gmod version sucks and because of that i wish the best of luck in making a great and fun mod that we all can enjoy

Basically, you're usually look at using the prefab in the luminousforts/prefab folder for block spawners. Then lfc_prop_flag, lf_trigger_nofreeze, lfc_trigger_flagzone and lf_player_spawnpoint.
I'll probably be working on making those names easier to remember by removing the "trigger_", "_prop", etc. (don't worry, your old entities will still work)!
You can also directly port Sourceforts 194 maps. They work out of the box.
LuminousForts isn't dead. Keep supporting it.
