Once there was a place where the past and the present met in brutal confrontation. Man felt he had controlled it, had contained it, and began to understand it. But the forces of nature were never meant to be controlled, to be contained. Or, it seemed, to be understood. Until now.

A Japanese research ship is stranded on an unknown island in the Atlantic. Time and tide have laid waste to the barren facilities there, once built to contain and study the most fantastic and terrible lizards ever to have existed. Welcome to the age of the dinosaurs.

Jump back in time in an adventure that will intrigue, thrill and terrify you. As hired mercenary Johann van de Beer, you will fight to protect your friends and confound your enemies. As Dr. Saskia Brezhnev, you will learn to understand this ancient land and find clues to solve the mystery of what really happened. Together you must survive as you dodge gunfire, careen through lush forest and face the most fearsome creatures to have ever walked the Earth, in this action-packed adventure.

That’s right everyone, we have taken the rather large step forward and made the decision to move our project over to cryengine2. We hope we will achieve even greater results, epically with the release of the SDK tools which are arriving soon.

We are updating our current website, so please be patient, we will have something up in the next week or so.

Thank you everyone for the continued support and the next few months after Christmas will be a very exciting time.

Nick

It's amazing to see how much you've accomplished already, the mod looks awesome even this early in development, I'm definitely going to update my PC for Crysis when LWR comes out. Great work guys, keep it up.

Absolutely outstanding guys. The progress on this mod is great, you guys are really trying to do something new, and I like that. I was reminded of the game trespasser in the shot with all those long necked dino's, brachiosaurus or whatever they are.
I really love the parrallax mapping on the footprints as well.
When I first wanted to get into modding at the end of 05, I had a few concepts, one of them was a jurassic park style game on the cryengine, and one of the main features I wanted was to have parrallax mapped footprints to identify dino's and to see how close they were etc.
Another thing was to have a freeform style of gameplay so i'm really impressed with the footprints.
I certainly hope you will go for the freeform style of play as well. Linear games are almost pointless to work on now days. We're just over them, and the cryengine can handle the dynamic day/night cycle, so if you guys can make this freeform, this mod is going right to the A list.

As for the story campaign, there will be times when you will have a more linear interaction with certain creatures, to aid the plot. But a lot of the time, travelling between objectives for example, anything could pop out if it smells you, or if you disturb its young, making the game different every time you play it and thus making the adventure as free roam as possible without loosing structure.

there will be free roam in the campaign(most of the time)and there will be a free roam mode were you can do what you want and "study" the dinosaurs you find.Thats what i pretty much heard from the LWR team

well I am almost sure that there will be extremely dense forests in the game that you will have to pass through! So if you really want to play it with good performance then wait till the mod comes out by the time it will come out the 8800 series will be a lot cheaper,so do not stress my friend :)!
